I can't believe how loud the crowd sounds on the radio. Even before the Blues scored a million goals in a few minutes they sounded loud. Good on them, I guess.

Well... I'm done with this game. Sorry, but I cannot continue to watch the Wings be dominated in virtually every catagory out there tonight. They suck. It's just one of those nights I guess, but there is no point in watching it anymore.

Luckily for the Blues that the Wings are the smallest, lightest, and softest team in the league that they don't have to worry about answering to any tough guys. So... pound away!

One last thing: what the f*** is wrong with Brian Rafalski tonight? We're paying this guy 6 million a year, and he looks absolutley terrible out there. Whether it's his small size being dominated by the Blues bigger players or what, he needs to be benched. He looks like a smaller version of Jiri Slegr tonight.

I don't expect a comeback at all tonight. This team doesn't look inspired at all. They look tired, weak, and are playing with no passion at all. So be it I guess. Time to just move on to Saturday...

Honestly? Some of you need to calm yourselves. Our boys were on a 9 game win streak prior to losing the last two. Let's not be overly spoiled here. We all know damn well they are not going to win every game, and we also know that there are going to be games where they play like complete crap and slump. It happens, as it's going to happen to every team. Let's suck it up and move the heck on.

I swear to god Dom better start Saturday against the Hawks. But it won't matter anyways since Osgood will be in the next night against the BJ's. Hasek needs like 5 games in a row to get back to normal. He's been out 2 weeks, and Babcock blew his chance to get him 3 starts in a row by playing Ozzie for whatever reason against the Hawks on Sunday even though Dom was good against Columbus and had a day off.

He's not gonna be good when he faces 14 shots a game, doesn't anyone understand this? You can't stay sharp. When Ozzie was in at least he was facing 25 shots a game.

I don't think so. Our D needs some serious work. The fact that we allowed 4 goals in one period has to addressed. We took care of the Pred, and the Jackets. We just have to solve the Blackhawks. I believe if Osgood was in goal we would have won this one. We can't survive with Hasek. It is just the beginning of the season, and he has been on the IR for 3/4 of a month. He is slow in the net, and he goes down way to soon. It's not my decision, but something is going to have to be done. When our defense is down you need someone you can count on. This year Hasek hasn't been that guy, and Osgood is just a really good backup. We can't rely on Osgood for the long term.

I only saw the tail half of the 3rd so I cant say much, just looking at the stats. I kinda fell bad for Dom, 1 bad game he should retire, and Osgood CAN step in. Controversy?

It's troubling that we are off to such a nice start, but struggling against the teams in our division. Granted, it's still very early and we have picked up a couple of victories, but we haven't really played up to our standards in any of them. Just something to think about.

It will be very interesting to see what happens with the goalie situation over these next few days. Another three days off for the Wings before we play the 'Hawks again on Saturday, and you'd think they would go with Osgood. Dom has to be slightly worried.

Anyway, a terrible second period doomed us tonight. Let's hope for a better effort against than darn Chicago team on Saturday. Until then, everybody. Cheers.

I agree but I have a few concerns.

Rafalski has played 3 very poor games in a row now. As was mentioned earlier, I do expect more from someone on $6 million. Chelios also seems to be struggling and as I said earlier perhaps it's time for Quincey. As a matter of fact our entire defence looks shaky right now. Lilja was scratched probably because Babs wants to get more out of him. But is there anything more Lilja can actually do?

Hasek’s form is a worry. Yes the defence has been very ordinary but he is still struggling. Thankfully Osgood’s playing so well so we don’t have to worry so much but we need a fit and firing Hasek come playoff time.

My last note, the two youngsters in Hudler and Filppula played terrific tonight and were the pick of our players. Huds has 8 points in 7 games and Flip has 7 in 8. That’s great production.

Jesus christ I turn on the game to see Dom having gone 4-12 on shots? Now over here our boy Ozzie has gone 8-1 and been the best player in half those games. I think its clear who the starter is for now until Dom pulls his head out of his ass. IMO, his age is catching up to him. I could say that for a lot of reasons, but mainly its becuase he hasnt played 3 solid periods in one game at all yet this season. Thankfully, Ozzie is getting his 2nd win.
