Lou_Siffer 1 Report post Posted March 16, 2008 What? That he's not a real fight fan, and just spewing stuff right out of his ass? Hey, even I could have told you that on first glance. Well....yeah
Majsheppard 203 Report post Posted March 16, 2008 I am just a big Boston fan, they have some good youngsters now. They have my favourite non-Wing center in Savard, plus how can you not feel great for Timmy Tom.
Guest Hank=FutureCaptain Report post Posted March 16, 2008 ...and yeah, I agree. How anyone cannot give Lucic a defininte win for that fight is just plain stupid. How anyone can say that I said Lucic didn't win must be somebody plain stupid. Try reading posts first buddy. I said he won the fight. But he only landed a few shots. And anyone with two eyes can see the same. Lucic's strength is what made Bradley lose is balance. Not a punch that landed. Anyone who says otherwise needs to update the ole frames. Opie 308 Report post Posted March 16, 2008 Hank=Futurecapt, You my friend are the blind one so please stop lashing out at others because Lucic is better than you and you are jealous, or you are upset he is not on the wings, or Lucic s*** in you cereal, or you are just plain D-U-M-B, or whatever your reason. Lucic is 19!!!!! He is a rookie! He has beat veteran fighters. He is a locker room guy. He plays hard every shift. Boston fans love this kid for a reason he is legit. Oh and by the way how many times did Shanny take on a legit Heavyweight? Oh that is right that was D-mac's job so he took on the middles. I am by no means the biggest fight fan on this board and I refrain from giving judgments unless it is obvious who wins, that fight Lucic won!!! Pretty nice that it was at the opening face off!! Well you're claiming "MAYBE" 2 shots landed, that equates to a borderline decision or even a draw. Make up your mind!
Lou_Siffer 1 Report post Posted March 16, 2008 On a side note Boston and Washington play again today, these games have been pretty fun as of late so i'll be watching. Another Thornton/Brashear tussle? Shawn has held his own twice so far, although he lost both.

Shanny was more of a heavy than McCarty was. The problem is Shanny was also a star player, while McCarty was a career third liner at best. I doubt you recall this, but when Shanny broke into the league he did so with his fists. He was fighting guys like Kevin Stevens, Jeff Odgers, and Mark Tinordi. In Shanahan's first season in Detroit, he fought Marty McSorley and Bob Probert. Shanny and McCarty's fight cards have a lot of the same names coming up, also. Guys like Ron Stern, Kris King, Paul Kruse and other second tier guys ended up against both players many times.
GMRwings1983 8,804 Report post Posted March 17, 2008 Funny how many of us here (myself included) wish we had another "Probert" type of guy on our roster when in actuality we should be wishing for another "Shanahan" whom arguably is almost as good in the fisticuffs dept. as Probert was, but is a hell of alot better in the goal scoring dept. than Probert could ever hope to imagine. I'm personally can't wait to see both Homer, & Danny returning to the line-up; tired of watching our wingers shoot the puck into the chest of the opposing netminders No offense to Shanny, but he isn't anywhere close to being the fighter Probert was. You're comparing a guy that could go from time to time with heavyweights, to the best fighter of them all, which is what Probie was.

Opie 308 Report post Posted April 14, 2008 (edited) Melrose on Sportcenter just said this kid is the next Terry O'Reilly or Cam Neely, I hope he meant crowd favorite wise, because that would be like saying Abdelkader is the next Howe. Granted their maybe similarities between Terrible Terry or Cammer and Lucic, but shouldn't melrose at least wait until the kid turns 20 to make that assessment! Oh and the kid is playing great hockey right now, hitting, scoring, grinding he could very well be the next thing in Beantown, but not Terry or Cam! Yet!!!
