Seriously, Foote is getting away with rape out there. This is beyond dumb.

Check from behind. Trip. Clutch and grab. Evidently none of those things is a penalty in the Nu NHL.

Anyone think the wings don't shoot enough on the PP and play the point too much?

I might have had that though for about the last 15 years or so.

That period was sort of a wash. Lebda's goal was pretty sweet, but all the penalties were a drag. I think we can all agree that the 3rd goal was not Ozzie's fault. So here's hoping for one helluva 4rd period.

Oh, and a Zata goal would be nice too :)

I wish I had seen it. So Ozzie being out of the net didn't cause the goal, after all? I might have mis-read that comment earlier.

Nope. The replay showed a BJ standing in the crease, which I guess the refs failed to notice <_< No big deal, we'll get em back

And if by that comment earlier you mean mine, I guess I should clarify I am not a Dom-hater but he does frustrate me very much sometimes with his walks around the park, if you know what I mean :P

No, it still cost him, he was rushing back to get in the net, if he hadn't gone out there he wouldn't have been out of position.

And I'm sorry, but there was no interference on that goal. They showed a great replay of it. Ozzie rushed back and slide on his knees going out past the crease by about 3 feet. The Columbus player was already in his spot and WAS NOT in the crease, he doesn't have to move, he has FULL rights to be where he was. Ozzie was just so far out that when he went to go to his right, he went into the BJ's player. That goal was savable if Ozzie hadn't left the net.

Ozzie left the net, came back in and made a big save and tried to slide to the right to make another save but he got interfered with, and couldn't get back in time as there was a crowd in front that was in his way.

No, because Ozzie got back in time to make the first save, and then when going to make the other there was a crowd in front of him and he got pushed.

I just saw the replay. The puck was in the net before Ozzie ever turned around. Even if the BJ wasn't there, he wasn't stopping that one. If a Red Wing scored the same goal on LeClaire, we'd be giddy over it.

Still not Ozzie's fault, but I see why there was no call. Besides, no Wings goalie ever gets a call because there is an opposing player in the crease, best I can tell. <_<

I've seen the same replay about five times. The Columbus player was in the crease and was impeding Osgood's side-to-side motion. By the rules, that's goaltender interference. Had the Columbus player not been impeding Osgood's side-to-side motion, he may have actually had a chance to make an attempt at a save. Instead, the Columbus player kept Osgood on the left side of the net at the front of the crease and would not allow him to move further back into the crease and/or to the right of the crease to make the save.

I'm just amazed that it took Nash two shots.

He doesn't think the game very well, he's just big.

Unless the name of the sweater said "Hasek" then it would've been interference.

But since you can apparently see for certain what would've happened had Dom been in net, I'm guessing you already know that.

EDIT: Think of how many goals Homer has had waved off when he doesn't actually impede the goaltender from making the save. Apparently they only are cracking down on him.

Except Ozzie was never pushed by anyone. He slide over to his RIGHT side where a BJ's player ALREADY was. It's not his fault he was standing 2 feet out of the crease. He isn't expected to move out of the way there once the goalie is already out of the crease. No one wants to admit that Ozzie f'd up, well he did, he shouldn't never went out to get that puck.
