Hes having a decent game so far, but Mason is really showing him how its done. There are a couple shots taken by the Wings that were identical to the one that Arnott got. And Mason came up with the save. In other news, I thought Hudler and Kronner played very well. And Im continuing to stand by my opinion that Nick Lidstrom is not what he used to be, although still elite, his mistakes are becoming a pretty consistent thing. Yep, you're one of the people that's blind and refuses to admit that Hasek has been awful this year. But he IS sucking. The argument I keep on hearing people use is that "that was a good goal" or "that goal was the defenders fault" or similar arguments. WAKE UP. Thats what makes a goaltender good. Making the tough saves. If we wanted to excuse goaltenders for not coming up with the save every time they faced a tough shot, we might as well sign McCarty and put him in net. Nobody is asking him to be a Vezina contender, but reliable goaltending is a must. And its not just his stats that are indicative of that. Its his all around play. Now...saying all this doesnt mean hes done and should be benched for good. But were talking about the here and now. And in the here and now, Hasek. is. sucking.
