You'll have to puree my crow for me, on account of my teeth.

no crow eating required, Edi. Dom got a tough start this year, and people piled on unnecessarily. That's all. He needed this game, though. Things will only get better from here. I am grateful to the Wild for at least trying to challenge in the third.

ANd I am so sad Bettman stole this game from me. I wish I could have seen it. :(

Oh, well... go, WINGS!! Zatta, Dats, and Dom!!!

I've never seen a player flip like that before. Gaborik could have broken his neck. That's definitely Hasek's highlight of the season, but what do you expect? I can't remember the last time a goalie had such an easy game, so I guess he got bored and felt like doing something.

Someone needs to make an animated avatar of it for loo. :P

That goes without saying :D

I've thought about making that Datsyuk play during that Sharks game as an animated avatar, which when Grier and that other player colliding being replaced with a nuclear explosion, but I don't have the equipment for it :(

Dom's back to a 2.53 GAA and an .887 save percentage. Save % is still low, but at least back into the realm of respectability.

Play him again on Sunday and Ozzie gets to keep owning Nashville on Monday.

Or should we just keep playing Dom since he's the "hot goalie" ;)

Aussie Wing, a replay of that insane play will probably even make it all the way down your way. Gaborik did a full, laid out flip.

Yeh on our sports programs they always show plays of the day, and considering they show a hockey fight or goal every now and then I'd like to think they'll show this.

But I'll be sure to watch SportsCentre.

you like to live dangerously, don't you, Packer? People were dying today bec. Dom got two games in a row. God forbid he get another.

Zata, Dats and Dom, 1-2-3 stars?

Dom talking to the media, 77 th career shutout (but I am sure he's just glad to get some action and the win), 8th all time in the NHL now in shut outs.

EDIT: Zata, Dom and Mule = 1st, 2nd, 3rd stars

I'm not trying to degrade Hasek or put him down in any way. I have no complaints whatsoever about his play in the last two games. As I've said, despite my preference towards Osgood, ultimately I want the best guy in net when it counts whoever that may be.

That said, the whole "Dom's back" thing is still really premature. Again, I'm not saying he's played bad at all. He's been fine, but both of these games were utter and complete jokes. Besides the fact that he faced very few shots in each game, the even fewer actual "chances" he faced were as mediocre as they come. You're talking two totally lopsided match-ups where the opposition could barely hold onto the puck even on the power play. He hasn't faced anything close to a real challenge and I'm not saying he won't deliver when it comes but if these two lopsided wins is all it takes to convince you, then I guess a lot of y'all are even more irrational than I thought.

Again, I wish him the best and I hope he improves and I've said all along that I hope he can get back to "Dominator" form as few can compete with it, I think it's still a bit too early to assess where he's really at. I'm not trying to rain on the parade either, I'm just saying, rational responses don't make you any less of a fan. "Men against boys" isn't a strong enough statement about these games. Give it time.

Honestly, I'd still love to see us keep alternating...if Dom can stay hot (and after a performance like tonight's...yowza!), keep BOTH tenders hot. Combined with Zata and the crew of scorers, we'd be unstoppable.

And then we could take over the world. :D

Perhaps...but you have to admit that Minnesota had a hell of a lot more quality chances that Dom stopped than Montreal did. Dom really made some fantastic saves tonight. And before you say anything, I've been one of his detractors as of late, so if I think he played well, I ain't sugarcoating things.

And flipping Gaborik was just the icing on the cake. :P

19 shots is respectable, especially when half of them are in the third when the other team was challenging. As someone else said, he isn't back, he was never gone. I think what people who are Hasek fans know is that this is the exact type of effort that fuels Hasek's competitive nature. He was in it to win it. It will only get better from here. I know him well enough to know this is the way he looks on the way up, the bad stretch is over and forgotten in his mind. That's where you want him to be, mentally and emotionally. These two games were the perfect medicine, and I believe the next game he gets, they can throw the kitchen sink at him and it won't matter.

You're being perfectly rational, nothing wrong in my opinion with any of your comments.

Very true. Having both goalies at the top of their game would be a nice problem to have.
