Booster313 138 Report post Posted December 14, 2007 (edited) I don't know if anyone else is as pumped about this as I am but I think this is probably the single greatest enhancement to the hockey television experience in recent memory. It reminds me of the first time I saw the Matrix and was blown away. TWO THUMBS WAY UP!!! Edited December 14, 2007 by Booster313

It reminds me of the first time I saw the Matrix and was blown away. TWO THUMBS WAY UP!!! Yeah, it reminds of those slo-mo videos of a bullet piercing an apple and the the fruit exploding outwards like that. Probably the best enhancement this year (or heck, the whole game viewing experience). With the more frames that the camera uses, it will be a bit more easier to see if there were any deflections of the puck while going in the net. Good stuff. BlueMonk 102 Report post Posted December 14, 2007 It really is cool. Glad to see they're using on FSN Detroit now.
b.shanafan14 733 Report post Posted December 14, 2007 Yeah, I thought that was pretty bad ass and I hope the continue to use it as frequently as they did tonite. Will definately help to clarify tips and deflections. Its irritating when the replay catches the frame before it hits a stick or skate and the one after so you're not sure what the hell happened. Also sweet to see plays like the Zetterberg goals and the stick flex and what not... coolsville

Elshupacabra 0 Report post Posted December 14, 2007 I've seen this on a few other teams channles via center ice, seems to me that one of the west coast teams (ANA, SJ, PHO, LA) have been using it all season. But it is pretty awesome.
Z and D for the C 712 Report post Posted December 14, 2007 Shame we didn't have it for Gaborik's trip (and when I say trip I'm trying to be funny and use it like a plane trip ).

But it is pretty awesome. Yet, there have only been about 3 local hockey games in the LA area broadcast in HD this year. A leap in the Slow Motion arena, but it just must have sent them over-budget for those HD cameras..... Edited December 15, 2007 by al48
BeeRYCE 2 Report post Posted December 15, 2007 Is it the same thing they use in baseball when they swing?
WhiteLightning91 105 Report post Posted December 15, 2007 Well of course. The ONE Red Wings game I miss this season (was coming back from NMU and it was a blizzard throughout most of the UP so it took almost 9 hours to get back to Detroit...) they go and do something that sounds awesome. Anyone have an example/video of what the new replay cam is???
