Datsyukian Geek 2 Report post Posted December 21, 2007 What...in the f***...was Lids thinking? He held the puck for 4 of the 5 remaining seconds standing nearly stock still!! Ugh...very disappointed.
edicius 3,269 Report post Posted December 21, 2007 another loss to the central Meanwhile, we own the rest of the league. It's surreal.
Hollinger 0 Report post Posted December 21, 2007 This game-after-game same team crap needs to stop. Again on the 26th? Ugh. Manny needs to shove it.
Drake_Marcus 890 Report post Posted December 21, 2007 Weak. The back-to-back games end up haunting us. Amazing game by Ozzy though. Better luck next time boys.
Grittzkey 1 Report post Posted December 21, 2007 I dislike Jackman. I like him quite alot, i wish we could get a player like him.
auxlepli 17 Report post Posted December 21, 2007 another loss to the central Yep. First time held pointless in awhile. Also a less than satisfying tail end of a back-to-back.
YoungGuns1340 1 Report post Posted December 21, 2007 Ok, the only semi-excuse the Wings have is back to back games + travel. Im sorry but if youve gotten your asses handed to you repeatedly by teams from the same division, you take note and bring your best game. I dont give a s*** if the officiating was poor or St. Louis' goals shouldnt have counted. The Wings shouldve gone balls to the wall this entire game and potted 3+ goals to ensure a victory. This is simply unexcusable anymore..
commadore183 103 Report post Posted December 21, 2007 Between playing back to back games, utter goonery from the Goons, er, Blues, the bulls*** "calls"/non-calls and the Blues fellatio from the refs, it's no wonder the this sucks so stupidly it can't be quantified so easily. The Blues didn't really deserve to win this game, IMO, since they've been gooning it up a bit and had the refs on their side. Hope that Homer won't be out for too long. The league should really look into knee to knee hits like that. Well, stay safe and sleep well, everyone. Good night.
Hocketownwest 11 Report post Posted December 21, 2007 I saw this ending coming all week, always dangerous playing a team that has nothing to lose. Especially after all the goals they scored last night. The ref's didn't help, its almost like they wanted the wings to lose. Unbelievable amount of clutching and grabing non calls. datsyukismyfriend 4 Report post Posted December 21, 2007 ******* red wings. what the hell will it take for this ******* team to take the central seriously. our record in the central is absolutely pathetic. jesus. and what the hell was lidstrom doing at the end holding the puck til the horn????? Hollinger 0 Report post Posted December 21, 2007 I still take issue with that fact that our Central record blows, but we're dominating everywhere else. I just don't understand it. And frankly, I don't care anymore, I just want these back to back games to either slow down, or spread out. Anyways, goodnight everyone.
wingschamps 0 Report post Posted December 21, 2007 I'm pretty steamed at Lilja for that penalty there. Not the Wings best game. They'll win the next one.
Nero 20 Report post Posted December 21, 2007 To add to the fact that it is a back to back game, you must remember that St. Louis hasn't played before today since Sunday. SUNDAY.
blues_demitra38 11 Report post Posted December 21, 2007 Bad reffing, huh? I agree. Cleary riding Jackman at the end and they BOTH go. Interesting...

Lou_Siffer 1 Report post Posted December 21, 2007 Good game to watch tonight as bodies were flying around pretty good! St Louis was very physical, wouldve been a nice game for Downey to be in. The Wings didnt play soft by any means, but they got knocked around a good bit imo. Meech in particular is gonna be sore. Nice to see Drake's face is healthy enough to fight again, cause he ate a couple hard shots from Mayers. Drake got one in before he fell, but Mayers gets the W. blues_demitra38 11 Report post Posted December 21, 2007 Despite losing their third best offensive player and playing on the second game of back to backs the Wings did a good job hanging until the end. It was obvious they didn't bring their A game, however. I think a lot of it had to do with the physical nature of the game. Also obvious was the way the Blues tried to get to Datsyuk and it appeared that they did. If Pavel knew some English swear words I'm sure he would've used them. But you could tell he was thinking evil thoughts.
datsyukismyfriend 4 Report post Posted December 21, 2007 so 6 of our 7 losses in regulation have come at the hands of the central. jesus. this team makes no sense. Despite losing their third best offensive player and playing on the second game of back to backs the Wings did a good job hanging until the end. It was obvious they didn't bring their A game, however. I think a lot of it had to do with the physical nature of the game. Also obvious was the way the Blues tried to get to Datsyuk and it appeared that they did. If Pavel knew some English swear words I'm sure he would've used them. But you could tell he was thinking evil thoughts. the blues played the wings exactly how the wings should be played. a tough, fast, unrelenting forecheck, backed by a very physical game. this style of play pretty much neutralizes our attack and puck possession. that and manny was superb. savaking72 0 Report post Posted December 21, 2007 Cleary is my go to guy after letting Jackman know his s*** stops here. Although, it was to little to late. When we play the Blues I think we need Downey, and Ellis in for some serious backbone. I was pissed off the whole nite watching them rough up Dats and Hank. VM1138 1,921 Report post Posted December 21, 2007 I can't believe how people are acting on here. One, it's a single game. This does not signal the end of the Wings. It was a 3-2 game, not a 4-2, 5-2 or 6-2. The WIngs could have given that extra 10%, but they played well. Legace played well, Osgood played well, everyone played well I thouht. It was a hard-fought, physical game. THe grinding kind that are going to pop up in th eplayoffs. I look forward to the next two Blues games in the next week and a half, it's going to get crazy. shadow47 1 Report post Posted December 21, 2007 Weak. The back-to-back games end up haunting us. Amazing game by Ozzy though. By Osgood?!? 3 goals against on 24 shots...I think not, Legace had a pretty marvelous outing. If I were Kenny Holland, I would be looking around for what I could get for Osgood while his market value is at its highest. Did someone say, Ryan Malone?
