12/22 GDT: Red Wings 4, Wild 1

have to agree, its a tuff ask for a win tonight. The D are going to be relied on alot and we can only hope we get a few decent scoring chances on the break. Tonights forward lines are going to be interesting

to say the least. Bet no one can call all 4 lines correct! I would like to see Hartigan get a little more ice than he has done as he is a skilled player, and maybe put the old Griffs scoring line of Flip Rex and Kops out together all night as they should have some old chemistry. Babs has

said that Flip may be on the top line with Dats and Cleary, I'd go with the Mule instead of Flip thou. Still fingers crossed we may nick a point.

Everybody's healthy + playing against Central = Loss

No Homer or Zetterberg + playing against the Wild = W

WINGS 3-2

Hudler 2,Franzen

Filppula with the game winner tonight. I heard his name in my head when I was doing dishes earlier today.

I figured it would be Oz in goal tonight, seeing how Dom started 2 games in a row. Not that big a deal really, just so long as the Wings win this game, kinda like they should have won the last one. Kenny was going to call the league and find out why it wasn't called on Backes and it is on Homer, so hopefully it won't happen like that again. Don't care who scores, so long as they win. Maybe see Dom send Gaborik flying again.

I think my signature explains one reason (aside from rotating games) the Dom is in tonight. :)

I was being completely sarcastic with my comment towards Dom ;)

that's good! For every one of you, there are at least a couple who'd take you seriously.

hopefully no one on the wild has a 5 goal night again  4-2 Wings win it.

I hope WE have a five goal night again!

Even without Hank and Homer, I still expect this to be a good game.

Red Wings 3(Datsyuk, Cleary, Lidstrom)

Wild 3(Gaborik, Rolston, Burns)

Red Wings win shootout.

I really want to see how Cleary, Filppula, and Hudler respond to this challenge. They have a great chance here to get some big minutes and hopefully point up some big points. Maybe the Wild will let their guard down a little knowing Hank and Homer are out of the lineup.

Z better get his back healthy. i hope this doesnt become a trend....... :scared:

Well, he has been called the 'next Forsberg'. It makes sense that a similar playing style would bring all the same perks and disadvantages.

Big test for the Wings tonight - injuries, tough road game etc

Given Lemaire's complaints about Dom the last game I fully expect the Wild to take a run at him at some point.

On nights tonight so I get to listen on NHL radio :)

Hopefully the Wings will win this game without Homer or Hank. Go Wings.

Wings PK.

Okay, tonight should be interesting. I got a new wine shipment today and have...er...been partaking of it all day. Let's see how long it takes me to stop caring about typos in the GDT. :P

GO WINGS! :D

I'd say about page four is where you give up caring about spelling :P:lol:

Excellent, Dats with the score!

Will Flip get an assist on that goal?

Flip and Cleary, I think... not to sure since espn.com says it's Flip's goal at the moment, and it wasn't. But he got it to Dats for sure.

I don't know. Backstrom made a nice save with his stick and knocked it down, which was picked up by Houdini.

Wings PP.

announcers in MN called Backstrom's saves on the eventual goal "Hasek-like" -- sorta, I guess. He was laying prone in the goal and trying to grab the puck with his blocker. Keep working on it, Nikki :hehe:

Normally in that case they do get credit even after the goalie makes the save.

Let's hope it stays that way. Don't you dare steal Flip's point!
