Matt 1,049 Report post Posted December 25, 2007 Many of you that have logged in today have noticed a new look to the LetsGoWings.com Forums! The forums now represent the latest version of the IPB forum software along with a few extras thrown in. There'll be a few minor bugs (missing image files and such) here and there in the interim as I squash them later during the day today, but other than that it should be smooth sailing. I'd like to thank Trey for working to get the new forums working over the holiday -- it was very unexpected and extremely appreciated! Hope you enjoy them and Merry Christmas! With the release of the new forums comes an update to the "Community Supporter" classes. Members that have contributed to the site are now recognized as "Boosters", with the following breakdown: Old --> New Silver --> Bronze Gold --> Silver Platinum --> Gold Diamond --> Hall of Fame Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Grittzkey 1 Report post Posted December 26, 2007 it looks great, but the bummer for me is that i cant view the forums on Internet Explorer. it just x's out outta nowhere for no reason the minute the page loads. only way i can get on is by AOL and thats not going to happen. But when I tried the quick edit, I couldn't save my changes and get out of the quick edit mode without canceling out. Also, I wanted to make note the expanded "Personal Profile Portal" pages (say that five times fast) that comes with this forum -- including the capability to add "Friends" leave comments, etc. It's a big expansion on the old profile system. Another point to mention is the ability to "Rate" a thread by forum Boosters. Boosters can rate a thread (some have already rated the pinned threads -- that's the reason the stars are there) by visiting a thread and looking on the right side of the topic title where you should see a "Rating" box next to "Options". All threads can be rated on a scale of 1 to 5 stars. Thanks for all of the comments, everyone! I've been working on the forums for the last several weeks and I'm extremely pleased that you guys like it so far. Trey is currently working on some server improvements that *may* result in some intermittent site availability issues tonight -- but it will improve the speed and handling under load tremendously.
