redwingfan19 293 Report post Posted December 26, 2007 So is anyone going to watch the World Junior Championships today? Going to be some Wings prospects in that tournament Including Pyett and Emmerton for Canada and thats about all I know, also going to get a good look at Matthias who we gave up for Bertuzzi. I know he's tearing it up in the OHL right now so I guess we will get to see what we lost... anyway if your not in Canada it can be seen here on TSN Broadband. anyways it's always good hard hockey and it's something to hold us over until tonight Just a heads up! Wings_Fan_In_Exile 3 Report post Posted December 26, 2007 I might try my luck with tsn broadband, but my internet connection sucks. I wish I could get tsn down here in CO. Sportscentre is sooo much better than Sportscenter. Should be some good hockey.
Mule39 0 Report post Posted December 26, 2007 Emmerton was sent home due to Mono. Joakim Andersson is playing for Sweden and Pyett for Canada.

RusDRW 155 Report post Posted December 26, 2007 Go, Russia, go! Finally, we have to break that curse of loosing finals to Canada. I really beleive in this year and there are two reasons for that. First of all, we do not have rising stars like Ovie or Malkin and, in a such kind of tournament, it is a good sign. We have to play as a team. Secondly, we have our winning coach back and he promised to add to our squad some 6'4'' guys. And this is even better sign of changes. Skill alone does not win junior champs. Let's see. Reds4Life 51 Report post Posted December 26, 2007 What a match! Our goalie is just great, Bernier's superb too! I must admit it was really nice 1st goal by Canada.
Detroit # 1 Fan 2,204 Report post Posted December 26, 2007 I cant wait for Colton Gillies to get in the NHL. He is the hardest hitting Canadian prospect I have seen since, or Milan Lucic!
wingslogo19 281 Report post Posted December 26, 2007 Great game to watch. The first period the Czech's were all over us Canadians. I think nerves had a big part of that. But after the first we settled down. that Czech goalie kept them in the game he was really good, and earned the player of the game for them. And enough can't be said about Bernier he's a great goalie.. Canada plays tomorrow at 7 against the slovaks.. GO CANADA
Reds4Life 51 Report post Posted December 26, 2007 Yep, I enjoyed watching the match. And I think that Canada is going to win the tournament..again. Maybe Russians could beat Canada, but if Bernier can stay at this level, it will be 4 consecutive gold for Canada.
Yzerfan1999 81 Report post Posted December 26, 2007 Once Canada got going today it was nice to watch. I was really impressed with Pyett - looks like he will be a really nice D-man someday, maybe just in time when Lids retires.
Yzermania19 1 Report post Posted December 27, 2007 Would this be the IIHF on http://www.hockeywebcasts.com? Under the broadcast listings, they have "Watch 1" "Watch 2" and "Watch 3". For 2 and 3 it says, "Available in Canada only." WTF does that mean? And what is the difference between the 3 "watches"?
