T.Low 1,011 Report post Posted January 14, 2008 (edited) I didn't see a topic like this so why not make one. It's Stevie Day! Umm yeah... I just wanted to remind everyone in case they forgot, Stevie was the best thing that happened to the sport of hockey, the state of Michigan, the Red Wings, and the world! His epic factor is totaly off the charts. We love ya STEVIE!! Any idea how he is adjusting to his new job? What the main focus of his job is? With all due respect to the current team, I really feal this ticket slump is partly related to the fact that he is not on the ice anymore. I don't really remember the Wings before him. I know there are more factors than just that, but there is still a personality void on that team. Somehow, us working guys could just relate to him. Lidstro seems like he's wearing a suit and tie out there, Z seems like he's wearing imported slacks, all GQ, etc, but I feal like Stevie Y was like me but the best. We sure were fortunate to have Steve Yzerman in Detroit for all those years. Edited January 14, 2008 by T.Low

Yzermania19 1 Report post Posted January 15, 2008 His official title, as listed on the DRW web site is, Vice President/Alternate Governor. And from all indications, he had adjusted to the executive life quite well and seems to be enjoying his current position. I have seen several interviews over the past months where he says he doesn't regret his decision to retire at all and doesn't miss playing hockey. Here's a pic from the Ottawa Sun over the weekend - And here's a link to the accompanying article - Stevie Y: The Steps to Stardom
