I leave just after we go up by a goal. Walk the dog in the freezing cold around the block and freeze by but off. Sit back down in front of my TV and we are up 5 to 2 and we are two men up.

WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

At least we are up.

Yeah tell me about it, I went to go make some soup and I missed some stuff too. I should have learned forever ago never to do that in hockey :scared:

Lidstrom, take it easy you're a very angry man lately :D

I know i'm late on the subject but i hate how dome can slip up whenever he wants and get his chances to get back in there and for ozzie its like babs was waiting for oz to slip up so he could play dom more than he has. just seems unfair to ozzie. this was his game to play and to get him self back on track. f*** playing LA. they suck.

Naw, keeping Hasek in was definitely a good decision by Babs.

edit: I butchered 'definitely'

Like I said earlier in the thread, my guess is that Babcock didn't want to chance Ozzie having a bad game, giving Wilson more ammo to pitch his whine-fest of "Nabokov should start in the All-Star Game! He's the best! See?!"

Ozzie was interviewed earlier on the Detroit feed and according to those on here that saw it, he seemed fine with it.

I used to be of the mind that Babcock had something major against Ozzie, but he's changed my thinking this season. I don't think he's trying to slight Ozzie by not playing him tonight.

But it was still an entertaining dive.

who wants boring when you can have Dom, eh?

What a night. First he thinks the shot off the inside post isn't in (it is), then he moves his skate 1/2 inch away from the post and Cheechoo sneaks past him (a goal he stops 99 times out of ten). Can't wait for the 4rd.

You know what though? I would hope Babs is above that BS. If Wilson wants to piss and moan had Oz gotten the start and gotten shelled, I would like to think that Babs is man enough to shrug it off. If not, he could always defer to the standings and why he's the head coach.

I don't know if the announcers were just referring to the Sharks penalties, but he just said that all the calls were good except for the Dom tripping penalty. Um, what about the BS Homer Interference call?

Yeah, the announcer could have atleast acknowledged the skate to skate contact from Sharkie to Dom.

And I'm sick of the bad luck line the announcers are stuck on; if the puck wouldn't have careened off Sharkie's stick, one of the wings was right there at the GAPER to tap it in, anyway, while Nabby was overcome by the flurry in his zone.

SJ announcers are being very fair and complimentary to the Wings. Basically, they said "don't piss off the Red Wings... or this happens." Um, yep.

All the Wings have to do is control and don't let the ice tilt back in SJ's direction now.

Shots 24 Wings to 9 Sharks, going into the 4rd.

Nabokov has given up fourteen goals in his last eight periods. Ouch. He's slumping just like Ozzie is and Wilson still has the nerve to downplay Ozzie.

Ozzie's still better. Nyah!

Wings need to stay outta the danged box, now. Please?

Oh, I'm sure he would have shrugged it off...but would you want to have a whinier Ron Wilson in your ear? It'd be like having a big mosquito buzzing at you and no way to swat it.

In any case, Babcock probably has some logic behind it that we may never know (just like his lack of ice time for Rex). I ain't complaining though, Dom's doing his job tonight.
