Yzerfan1999 81 Report post Posted February 8, 2008 Its all good, which is why he is my favorite player.. don't let opinons of others sway my feelings about him Funny how those despising others for "whining" in fact whine about the various subjects (some the exact same) as mentioned above. I am glad to see though that people despise him because he is a "whiner" and not because he is some goon. That makes me all giggly inside 'cause whining is nothing more than in the eyes of the beholder. JR adds humor and some much needed controversy to the game... OsGOD, you are the king of hating people 'cause they are whiners. You always bash Gretzky for it, and he is a friggin' coach! JR used to be a great asset, but not anymore. In fact, other than his weird 500th goal earlier this year, I haven't heard a peep from the guy.

Ah but see i am not the other people on here who favorites are determined by the style of play and how much they are leading the league by. I have noticed many favorites are the most obvious "leaders" of today and i am sre when the next best thing comes out their current favs will be replaced without another look back. That is evidence by all the creaming and coveting every season for the MOST rediculus "new" players possible to get. Roenick as with Ozzie, as with Fedorov, no matter if they sucked or not, you will NEVER EVER hear me say, "well i WAS a fan of theirs BUT they seem to have lost a step" NEVER will you. Mark that down! Roenick has been and will continue to be my all-time favorite player. I am not going to judge my ability to call him my favorite based "solely" on the play recentely. As i have made it obvious (or so i thought) I want Roenick to play for the wings before he ends his career, because he is my favorite player and i would love to have him be on the roster of my favorite team, where i would get to see him for 46 games. I bash gretzky for whining now as a coach but i have not like Gretz for a lot longer than he has been coaching... pretty much after watching him cherry pick night in and night out and wuss out from taking hits. Lemieux for the "great one" title!!!! Also if any of you haven't gathered in the last 2+ years as this handle... winning isnt' everything to me... I would rather LOVE the team and LOSE than have a winning team filled with a bunch of guys i can't stand. Edited February 8, 2008 by OsGOD
johnnyoski 0 Report post Posted February 8, 2008 JR adds humor and some much needed controversy to the game... Those are reasons to put him in the booth as a color-commentator....not the dressing room of the top team in the league. And I find little humor in him...its mostly sour grapes. In the end our opinions won't matter. The likelihood of JR becoming a Wing is pretty non-existant. He's happy in San Jose.
OsGOD 3 Report post Posted February 8, 2008 Nope they won't matter at all which is why i started this thread to get MY players name out there instead of a billion thread announcing the current flavors of the week. Alebit it is a good judge to see who is performing best this week... but i still prefer the old fashion Yahoo! top 6 power rankings instead of having to see 6 new threads with those players being coveted. We should just have one thread with a link at the top to the power ranking and then each week/day/hour/min we can discuss how the top 6 would benefit our team the most come Feb 26th!! The Enforcer 13 Report post Posted February 8, 2008 Roenick?!? come on. maybe back in 1995. He's a has-been gimp now. He belongs in an alumni game at this point. Hey, lets bring Paul Coffey back, maybe he's got some gas in the tank

I've never had to think about that cause Yzerman was always a god. Hope Zetterberg doesn't ever fall apart.
