TCfan1340 0 Report post Posted February 16, 2008 here's a couple more that I can remember: Pavel was talking to Mickey and he started speaking french and Mickey asked him how many languages he speaks and Pavel says 1 and 1/2...russian and english and then keeps on speaking in french. When Homer was out with his knee injury, a reporter asked him what homer being out meant to the team and Pavel said that it means that the team is faster now, and more of his shots get through to the net, that he had 8 shots in that game. A reporter asked Pavel if the team plays better when he and hank play apart and he said that the team plays better when both he and hank don't play... then another reporter who just caught the end of it asked him to repeat his answer and he said, no, I can't, because if I say it different this time the last guy will get mad at me. These ones are from when he was playing in the olympics: He was playing with a broken finger and the reporter asked him if his broken finger was causing him any problems and he said yes, now I can't pick my nose. A reporter asked him how he slept the first night in Torino and Pavel said, first on my right side, then on my left side, then on my back.
Guest LivingtheDream Report post Posted February 16, 2008 Russian people actually have a history of having wicked sarcastic senses of humor, but we have had some serious Russians until now.
Guest LivingtheDream Report post Posted February 16, 2008 (edited) He meant he could put it on the stick of anyone in the crowd, and I think that kind of egotistical remark is just awful. /jk You are totally not getting it. That assumption of yours is just about the most off the mark thing I have ever read here and that is really saying something! He was simply joking that there are 18,000 people in the arena. That's it. It was a joke you might tell a kid. Pavel has never ever shown signs of an ego like that, not even close. Quite the contrary actually. Or did you miss that bit on the end of the post? Don't worry about it, though. There's been a lot of strange posts lately. My excuse is alcohol.

Also, I am a huge Dats fan and, well, I just get huffy if anyone seems to be picking on him.
DatsyukRules 0 Report post Posted February 17, 2008 Similar to the famous interview a few years back when they were done he said " are we done? ok 5 bucks" lol. He pulled that one on my buddy, when he saw him at the local ice rink. My friend asked for a picture and Datsyuk responded, "sure, five bucks." My friend didn't have any money, so he yelled for his dad to come over and give him some money, but then Datsyuk laughed and said he was kidding.
