Yes, but as someone explained earlier, it may be more of a deal in principle, where the Wings are doing a sign and trade sort of scenario. Thus, nothing is final until Hossa signs an extension with the Wings, and then, and only then, would the deal be made public, which could take a day or two.

Naw word would have been out. I hope we didn't give up Flip for Hossa anyways i would much rather see Sundin without giving up Flip.

Maybe not if they only had a deal in place that was pending a contract extension for Hossa (which DW said he would give the receving team 24-48 hours to work out the extension) thus creating a sign and trade deal.

Ya, its hard to say. THe best, and probably most rational, thing to do would be for everyone to just go about their lives until some sort of official announcement is made (or not). However, I find my time is better spent doing things that defy the conventions of rationality and practicality.

man I can't stop thinking about Hossa coming to Wings you guys really ruined my good night sleep.

anyway even if it is true or not... should we talk about it? I mean it's all good and fun while we talk about it but if this get leaked... maybe to teams like Anaheim. Wouldn't Burke call Waddel right now out of sleep to hand out EDM 1st and Bobby Ryan or whoever he was? Maybe we should delete this thread (or part about the facebook stuff)?

yah but say in basketball for example when teams do sign and trades alot, the word always come out thats theres a deal in place with a 48 hour window to sign him to an extension

like s***, id rather not get hossa if it means giving up flip

nah i'm half serious though because I just looked at Hossa's age (28yrs old) and he is friggin younger than Datsyuk! ouch I can see why some rumor like that would fly around.
