Righto...Quincey with a weak wrap off the boards that was easily gobbled up by Flamers. Lebda just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time.

While I really like Quincey he has looked a little poor in the defensive zone in his 2 games up so far...I know they aren't the best games to pass a judgement in, but just saying, Meech has looked better than Quincey, so I state, he is not up only because he had to go through waivers but because he is more NHL ready...

How did the refs not call that high stick on Drake at the end there???? The just showed him and he lost his two front teeth and was yelling "f*** YOU" over and over to the ref, hahaha.

Personally I thought he played very well against Colorado.

Flames announcers found it amusing, too. <_<

Perhaps the Wings will come back out and score one goal per tooth, to make up for it?

1-0 Flamerz.

Flamerz killed off the Wings PP.

Geez, I hate Phaneuf.

Once again, the refs are proven to have one blind eye and one that can't see when it comes to penalties inflicted upon the Wings. I hope Drake is alright.

Thank God I don't have to suffer through those fuggers. I'd just like to send out some love to DirecTV again for showing both teams boardcasts on most games and nights.

Conversation Overheard in Wings Dressing Room:

Kronwall: Man this injury thing Rocks guys, you don't need to play AND you get paid still...

Cleary: Man Sammy Aim for my face I wanna try this out.

CLeary: Yeeeaaahhh guyyyzzzzz ehts grayt....(since his jaw is all screwed up)

Rafi: Man i think its time I try it too....Hey Nick this is awesome, how have you gone so long avoiding these things in your career, hit up some free money with lounge time...

Hasek: Yeah Rafi is right nick why do you think i get hurt so often...

Lids: Man how did it take me this long to figure this out....

CHeli: I'm the old guy I should be the one relaxing

Drake: Wait DAMN now im the oldest, better ditch some teeth and get new teeth and some R&R

I know this was not too funny, and slightly classless, but it was funny in my head....

Thats true, I forgot the game before that...the one where everyone blamed Lilja for the goal that went in when he was the one out of position...but yes he has looked very good at times, I just think his play in the defensive end is sloppy at times, he needs the rest of the year in GR before coming up Next year in my opinion, thats all...

Chelios leaves with leg/ankle injury

Posted by Ansar Khan February 22, 2008 21:43PM

Categories: Update

The Wings' already depleted defense took another hit during the first period of Friday's game when Chris Chelios was hit in the back of his right leg/ankle from a hard point shot by Adrian Aucoin during a Calgary power play. Chelios needed help getting off the ice and briefly went to the dressing room before returning to play two more shifts. He was in noticebale pain and tried to walk off the injury between shifts. Eventually, he left the game later in the period. The Wings have not provided an update yet.
