get over yourself. they make bad calls both ways but when goal is counted after it hits the netting then thats just bulls***. as far as bad pens...how many do we have to take agaisnt homer...yeah so don't pull that s*** with us.

Homer has made a CAREER out of goaltender interference. While I agree the one that was called on him against JS was bull, it just makes up for one of the countless that he wasn't penalized for.

Our so-called great goalies are overrated. They played great early in the season when the sun was shining, but lately they can't even steal one stinking game from the other team. Just two or three wins during this losing stretch would at least make things look a little decent. I know everyone is going to blame it on injuries, but I got the impression early in the season from reading everyone's posts that we had Jacques Plante and Terry Sawchuk in net for us instead of Hasek and Osgood, so don't make any excuses.

I think you are unfairly singling out the goalie position... Last I saw there was about 15 other pylons wasting precious time on the ice.

Our goalies have a combined what 16 losses and its already March with about 6 weeks left.... I don't see how that makes them overrated.

If you want overrated... point out an elite goalie whom isn't hovering around 2.10 GAA even after this horrific months showing.

i understand its hard for a shark fan to be a good unbiased fan. what about the goal in our last meeting with the ducks? remember that one? probably not...because you dont watch the wings so you are going by other DB fans that hate the wings. yeah they are going to say that because he causes a lot of havock in front of the net with a 98% no interference.

Yeah, from what I saw last night, Hasek looked good for his first game back. Maybe a giving up a few more rebounds than usual, but that's about it. And for the past several weeks, no matter who is in net is often getting hung out to dry.

How many chances did the Sharks get on that second goal last night? It was ridiculous.

Maybe Ozzy and Dom haven't been quite as sharp as they were earlier, but it's honestly hard for me to tell because our defense has been so poor. They have to play a totally different type of game than they did earlier this season.

I find it funny how many people around here won't acknowledge that their team benefits from bad calls as well. I don't hate the Wings at all - quite the opposite - but they get just as many "lucky breaks" as the next team.

Let's not pretend that the world hates the Wings.

I did in fact see the goal against the Ducks in the last game, and it was a bad call, but you can see how it could be missed. I also saw Modano move the Sharks goalie out of the crease with his leg during a power play to open some room for a shot - I'm guessing you missed that play. I saw Brodeur get whacked in the back of the head with a stick, causing him to go down and miss a shot from close in.

Guess what - it happens to every team. Not because of bad reffing, but because it's an imperfect world and the refs don't see everything.

I mostly agree. Though I think there is bad reffing. It's just that the bad calls tend to even out.

But for the puck to fly off the ice, disappear for several seconds, then pop back onto the rink without any of the officials allegedly seeing it, is particularly pathetic.

Four sets of eyes, at least a couple of which should be following the puck. None of them saw it?

It's particularly painful because the Wings are struggling right now, which is why losing on such a major blown call hurts more than usual.

I absolutely agree that there are bad calls as well as bad refs. There's some solace in the fact that every team gets the same refs at some point, so at least there's something like parity, even if the mediocre and bad ref won't make the same percentage of stupid calls in all games.

They missed a big one here. It happens. Outside of that play I don't think it was badly officiated, even though one of the refs kept getting in the way behind the net and screwing up the flow and they missed at least 2 too-many-men calls on the Sharks and a nasty Lilja cross-check. Sucks that the mistake was a huge one, but there ya go. I'd take it over some of the games I've seen this season, in which the whole game was called from a deep intestinal vantage point (the last Wings game against the Ducks ranks pretty high on this scale).

Missed a slash by Homer on Nabby and also missed the subsequent cross-check on Homer by a Shark (forgot who). Remember after the lockout when they called obstruction in the neutral zone? Those days are long gone. I wish the puck would have hit the ref in the head after it bounced off the net, then he'd have blown it dead for sure. I still can't believe that four guys missed the puck sailing about 10 feet over the boards, bouncing off a net, and falling back onto the ice a few feet from a ref. I honestly wonder what on earth that ref was watching. Some hot girl in the stands? I don't get it. I thought the call on Homer against the Ducks was bad, but this may be one of the worst blunders I've seen in years.

i like when you have DB's that but words in other people's mouths. where was it that i said that it was only one sided calls? yeah DB get a life. they look at homer more because you have other teams and players who ***** about him all the time. so the refs look at im more and they are more likely to call closer on him when you have teams running over dom and they don't get calls. wake up buddy. it happens.
