RockyMountainWingGal 108 Report post Posted March 7, 2008 6 weeks O.o O.o ////cry :crybaby: TIME TO TRIPLE SHIFT Teemu every game randy!!!! EDIT: This is a huge blow to my fantasy... I wouldn't worry too much - did you notice the Wings February record? Ouch! Anyhow nothing will matter until the playoffs really. Worst thing for the Ducks will be not to have home ice vs the Sharks....but they will still be the favorites in that series....
Matt 1,049 Report post Posted March 7, 2008 Most interesting thing here is that the Ducks just lost their leading goal scorer and while they may be the 5th seed right now.... They're only 3 points away from missing the playoffs entirely. Considering it's been two-straight without a goal, this final month is going to be interesting. HockeyCrazy3033 168 Report post Posted March 7, 2008 Regardless of his D-Bag status, this is a really tough blow for the Ducks. Sucks to be them. Yep. Ooh I didn't know the Duckies were 3 points away from being out of a playoff spot. That sounds GREAT.

zombiewing 3 Report post Posted March 7, 2008 the obvious disadvantage for the qucks is that their other players will be taxed much more to compensate for the ice-time. i do not think that they would be affected to the extent that other, older teams would be, but this does present an increased possibility of injuries. not that i am hoping for gruesome injuries. but george the pirate cannot become a second liner, and they are not as deep at forward as they were due to macdonald leaving. bottom line=bad time of year to get injured. or good. or whatever

Guest DetroitBoy313 Report post Posted March 7, 2008 Well he better be able to get back in the lineup when we face those Ducksin the playoffs. I want the Wings to beat the Ducks with all their star players playing. Your kidding me right? Injuries are a part of the game and you didn't hear anyone from any other teams complaining last year in the playoffs because Schnieder and Kronwall were out.Sh*t happens and you gotta move on,in my opinion it's probably karma anyway.I hate to see any player go down but it's a part of the game.No matter if we beat the Ducks with or without ALL their players really don't matter to me as long as we beat EVERYONE PERIOD! miller76 463 Report post Posted March 8, 2008 I don't wish injury on anyone, especially after what we have gone through, but if a trash talking little punk ass like Cory Perry gets hurt then oh well. He's a punk. I sat glass last year in Anaheim for the WCF games 3 and 4. For being a little punk, he has a big mouth on him.

edicius 3,269 Report post Posted March 8, 2008 They are 7 points from the last playoff spot not 3. Games in hand. Anaheim has 83 points with 70 games played. They're currently in 5th place. Meanwhile, the 9th place team - Nashville - has 76 points with 68 games played. If Nashville wins those games in hand, that gives them 80 points with 70 games played - 3 points behind Anaheim. SouthernWingsFan 854 Report post Posted March 8, 2008 Ouch. Definitely not one of my favorite guys, but you don't wish injury upon anybody and I can't imagine how painful the injury might've occured on TV. Who is going to tell Datsyuk that he's going to get it though? What is he supposed to be getting?
