Which brings up the question...Why is Babcock putting Sammy in with Z and Dats? Didn't Z score 2 of his goals with Dats, and Franzen on the ice (last night)? They will get the one goal back, not worried. Hasek will be fine, too. the thing is, that kind of overconfidence is killing us IMO. we might not able to score another goal, or they will score another one. If we were so sure that we can score if we play our game, why worry about playoff? I hope this team wake up and stop giving themselves too much respect. RedWingsFanatic 4 Report post Posted March 21, 2008 I don't understand why Babcock continues to reward Samuelsson, either. He just isn't a very good player. I used to try to figure it out. Like, 'why isn't he better?' or 'what is he doing wrong?' But I've just come to the conclusion that he isn't good. He adds nothing to the Zetterberg/Datsyuk tandem. This team is good, but not THAT good that's an interesting take... you think they don't show up because they believe they can pull it out of the fire in the last 10 minutes? Serious question. I hadn't thought about that. I get mad at them for farting around, turning the puck over, missing the net 100 times per game, shooting in clear lanes so the other team can block another 50 shots per game or so, and then they kick in about the time they notice the clock is running out... This team is good, but not THAT good It just that it's the end of the reg. season, they're on the top of the standings, will get at least #2 seed (unless the wings don't get a single point in the rest of the reg. season..unlikely), so they really just don't have much to give 100% really. I'd rather chill now and save up for the playoffs than bust our ass when it doesn't matter and be in worse condition for the playoffs. And when I'm typing this kronner scores and I miss it. Buy center ice for dishnetwork (145bucks), then upgrade my service to get versus (15bucks a month), and then upgrade my service to HD to get the NHL network (another 25-35 bucks a month). IMO there is difference between playing hard with overconfidence and playing hard with right amount of fear. I don't see any kind of fear of losing from Red Wings and last time I saw that we got swept by Edmonton.
