Barrie 900 Report post Posted March 22, 2008 Last year I picked Anaheim, and I was right. Call me crazy, but this year I'm picking the Wings. I don't know what it's like in the USA, but I like the fact the Canadian Media is talking about Anaheim, Dallas, and San Jose winning the West. I even heard someone on Rogers Sports Net say Vancouver can beat the Wings . We went to the Conference Finals last year and were only a few breaks away from playing Ottawa in the finals, and it's going unnoticed. But that's ok with me. Sounds like a great plan to me. Of course when that happens, all the people who are picking San Jose, Anaheim et. al. over the Wings will be saying "I KNEW Detroit was going to win the Cup!" I hate being the favourite.. and being a Wings fan means you are more likely a favourite than the underdog. Thats why I like the Lions Go Wings, go cup.
