Is anyone else watching this game?

Everytime i blink a goal is going in the net. The goalies seem to be playing lazy early in the third. Some dumb mistakes and some bad give aways twere they were stranede.

This is turning out to be something else.

4 - 3 PHX is leading.

makes san jose look a bit less invincible doesn't it?

NoOoO! They are still invincible! We have no chance! We can't survive a seven-game series with them! Please don't destroy my reason that we will lose for sure!

Hehe. Anyway, that said, it sounds like an interesting game. I wish I had Center Ice access here (I'm out of town atm).

Yeah I'm watching it. Amazing goals. Phoenix had that one waved off and then Doan scored seconds later.

If San Jose loses this one do the Wings clinch the president's trophy?

It sure does!!!

It also makes me wonder if maybe they have overplayed Nabby. He just seemed to be playing like he left his brain in San Jose. Some dumb plays but i guess it happens to the best of them.

Turned in on in time for the third. Anyone see wayne pull one of his "f*** me!"s? :D I was waiting for it, haha.

Yeah i saw it.

I think it's funny that as a player he seemed very laid back and patient on the ice. As a coach he seems to be a lunatic.

If San Jose loses this, they'll have 99 points to the Wings` 108. In this case, San Jose will have six games remaining, the Wings five. The Sharks will be able to finish the season with a maximum of 111 points, whereas the Wings right now can finish with a maximum of 118. The Sharks will have 45 wins to the Wings` 51; given that the Wings won the season series with San Jose 3-1, a Sharks loss tonight would mean that a further relative gain of three points on the season for the Wings would clinch for them the conference. This could come in the form of a Wings win in regulation and loss in overtime, a Wings loss in overtime coupled with a San Jose loss in regulation, etc.

In other words, if the Sharks lose tonight then they'd need to win five of their last six and the Wings would need to lose four of their last five in regulation.

You're amazing for posting this. I was just about to do all the math and such for it. You saved me some time!

This game just re-affirms the point that if you shut down Joe Thorton and his line then you'll be able to win the game quite handily.

You haven't been watching many Sharks games lately, have you?

It sure does!!!

He was due for a day off. The guy friggin' plays every game. Gives up 2 goals a game. Like clockwork, it would seem.

Well he wound up with a hat trick, so they didn't exactly shut him down!

At least the Yotes won in OT. I think the Wings can take Nabokov. ;)

They made mention of his Fure-like starts this year during the game. It's up in the 70s now.
