How was Hasek and the goals against him? I only watched the last 10 minutes, but I did see him make some good save.

And all the central gives their best games againt the wings, whereas we give them our worst. Hence the s***ty record against them this year.

he was screened by his own player on the first, and surprised by the second. I am sure he wants it back, but it was a pretty good blast, at any rate. He made at least one game saving stop and about 10 more good chances... despite the BJS piling on him in the crease at every opportunity.

Dude Columbus ALWAYS plays their best games against Detroit it seems. They could (and have) lose games to crappy teams all year long and they can't touch friggin Nashville for whatever reason, but they always bring it when they play Detroit.

considering how short-handed the Wings are and given that LeClaire was literally keeping this game close for Columbus (always a problem for Detroit when they run into a hot goalie), I'll take it.

Hell if Columbus played the rest of the West like they play Detroit every night, they'd have over 100 points themselves, but they don't have the scoring for it.

They lost Foote and Federov at the deadline and they've got no hope for the playoffs! They're half the team they were first half. They didn't play exceptionally well tonight and it doesn't matter. Detroit is far too talented to not rock a team like this at this point in the season on coast mode. They're just making way too many fundamental mistakes. There's just no excuse or explanation for that besides stupidity and mental-laziness.

First goal was screened. Second one was pretty bad, went through his stick and proceeded through his five hole. Made some big saves early though.

I hope the Wings bottled that third period up. How in the world...

I feel bad for LeClaire, what an amazing game he played.

No kidding; he made about 10 highlight reel saves, but the play that will be played the most is the last goal he gave up... gotta suck

He was screened by Datsyuk on the first goal. Second goal was totally his fault - shot from the blue line with no Jackets within 15 feet of Hasek.

I'm a little worried that the Wings have a tendency of only playing for the last ten minutes of the game. I think they will take the playoff games seriously though so I'm not worried.

Very smart from hank.....not only did he win the chase for his own dump in (beating the bjs defnce and leclaire to the puck) and took his only option, banking it in of leclaire's legs, he also saw leclaire was wise to it and was going to jump over it, and so fired it a foot off the floor so it went in of leclaire's calf muscle...talk about adding injury to insult....

Yea. And the worst part was LeClaire knew EXACTLY what Hank was trying to do. He tried jumping out of the way, didn't happen though.

I could be wrong, but I think that changed directions off the Red Wings player attempting to block the shot; it wasn't much, but I think that's why Hasek tipped it instead of getting all of it

good win, but Kopecky looks like he tore an ACL or something...

I pray for him, but kinda don't expect to see him again this year.

A real shame because he has been working his ass off to contribute and provided some of that much sought out physicality.

Abedelkaker needs to be signed with that performance and Kopecky possibly being hurt.

Only thing I saw wrong with him is his cycling down low in the corner, which is just a system thing he will figure out with a chance to become comfortable.

Even now, he points out he missed a block shot but thinks he did well. I like it.

Are you talking about the first or second? I was listening to the radio feed and I remember hearing about a deflection but I forget which goal it was.

well rather poor showing at start by Wings but who can blame the Win. especially the one that guarantees home ice advantage

my only concern now is Kopecky because he was really playing well. I hope to god it isn't something serious.

three stars per NHL.com

1. Zata - for his freaky-dekey, bank-shot GWG

2. Mule - because he's a scoring machine

3. Dom - because he actually doesn't suck, believe it or not

How in the world does LeClaire not get a star, I would have thought about giving him the first star.

It's unfortunate Kopecky was injured... but it's kind of ironic that the guy they've been mentoring into a crash and bang forward for the past couple of years leaves the game and Abdelkader comes in his first game ever and plays a fantastic game, crash and bang is his natural type of play and he had 3 real solid hits tonight and had a few great scoring chances in pretty limited ice time, great to see
