Third Man In 2,091 Report post Posted April 4, 2008 Not sure what you'll are cheering about. This team is so bad it might be a GOOD thing to meet them in the first round of the playoffs. Instead we'll face tougher competition from Nash or Calgary...Mostly for no Luongo in the first round. He's the goalie that scares me most, even if the team in front of him is so-so. Teams can have a funny trend of easing their way into wins during the playoffs, especially teams like Vancouver where their goalie is the anchor to their whole franchise. Remember their round first year against Dallas. They got shut out what, 2-3 times in that series, but their goaltending locked them in enough to make whatever minimal offense they did capitalize on all the more significant.
