NeverForgetMac25 483 Report post Posted April 9, 2008 I don't blow off work, but I aboslutely stay up late and watch all the playoff games I can. That's why energy drinks were created. BTW, thank you to whoever created Rockstar Energy Drink. I love you.
edicius 3,269 Report post Posted April 9, 2008 You guys are lucky. I stay up late, and still wake up at six the next day to go to school, sometimes to take a final, as happened last year when we played those late night games. I'm with you. The late night games kill me, especially as I have to be to work between 6-7AM during the week. That, coupled with a playoff beard, and I end up looking like pure hell during these months. Not like anyone actually notices at my job anyway.

RedLightGoesOn 81 Report post Posted April 9, 2008 When I signed up for classes in November, I made sure no class would come in the way of Wings playoff game.
kylee 727 Report post Posted April 9, 2008 i have to get up at 6 during the week. no problem with me, those little sacrifices that make the playoffs great. tonight it starts for me: flipping between NYR/NJ and the Pens and Sens after that; Flames and Sharks. Z and D for the C 712 Report post Posted April 9, 2008 (edited) I wish I was able to get the NYR/NJ game. I'm prefectly happy for the S/Pens and the Sharks/Flames game later though. Can't wait. Shame I'm working tomorrow and I'll miss the most of the game, but oh well, it's just the preds. Edited April 9, 2008 by Z and D for the C

CrossCheck24 2 Report post Posted April 9, 2008 I can't get anything done from now till the wings are Champs. Which isn't good since I have final presentations and exams all during SCPO season
puckloo39 5,686 Report post Posted April 9, 2008 Me. I stay up for all the regular season late night games, too. Original member of the LNC, here. I must say I am not sorry that round one vs. Nastyville is just one time zone away, however, and in not western Canada or CA.

mooose kiiisses 0 Report post Posted April 9, 2008 During playoffs I usually only get 5-6 hours of sleep when the Wings are playing on the west coast, but i never think twice about staying up and then getting up at 6 to go to school. everyone can tell when there has been a game the previous night. due to the fact that i get cranky when i don't get enough sleep. but when we lose i skip cranky and go straight to *****. sometimes i feel bad for my friends, and anyone else who puts up with me... Sergei Fedorov91 24 Report post Posted April 9, 2008 Double bag coffey with 4 sugar packets. My boss is a wings nut so he understands lack of production during playoff season.
Firehawk 305 Report post Posted April 9, 2008 The late nights are gonna be round 2&3. can't wait. Yeah what i meant was playoffs in general, not just wings. I love playoff hockey, and when the wings aren't playing, I'm absorbing all the hockey I can get...

hallelujahlogic 1 Report post Posted April 9, 2008 i don't have to be to work until 9:30am, so i can usually get away w/staying up for the whole game (unless it's on the stupid west coast and then i just attempt to stay up and fall asleep in front of the tv). i work saturdays too, but i've already informed my boss that if there's an early game on saturday, i'll be getting someone to cover for me. he's a big big sports fan (though, not hockey so much) and understands how it goes. Lidstromrules16 7 Report post Posted April 9, 2008 ohhh......you meant like actually not going? well, it depends on what class I have. I mean, I stay up regardless, but I still go to my classes. Actually, when I went to the Def Leppard concert in Greensboro i did skip my classes the next day.......sue me
FinRedWing 172 Report post Posted April 9, 2008 I try to watch or listen most of the our regular season games, but during the playoffs I usually watch every single game that is broadcasted here. It basically means 0-3 hours of sleep every weekday, but I'm already used to it. I might sleep a couple of hours after work if/when I'm tired.
SouthernWingsFan 854 Report post Posted April 9, 2008 I certainly don't blow off work since I like my job, but I try to watch every minute that I can. Of course I fell asleep in OT in the games that we beat the Flames and Sharks in last postseason. I can't just be to work late though because of hockey watching. And most of the time I'm usually up early around 5am to read the morning paper and eat breakfast to have enough time to exercise before work.
wingsgirl001 983 Report post Posted April 9, 2008 Oh man...I dunno I like my sleep, but I'll be doing my best to stay up as late as possible!
dawings 0 Report post Posted April 10, 2008 I work afternoons so I have to watch the games at work. Everyone knows to bother me as little as possible during playoffs! I do although get really ticked off when we get busy! But I work at a veterinary emergency hospital and I can't get mad at the patients.
