I guess I missed it. What did Trotz do? I watched the game but only watched live action and didn't pay attention when play wasn't happening.

I don't know verbadum but it went something like... We should have gotten the first goal. Bad calls against us and ALOT of other excuses. Babs returned saying that anyone can look over an entire game and find scrutiny and be able to make something where there is not. He said that the Officials have a harder job then any other sport and they do a good job.

Fair enough, they got robbed on that first goal, but to whine about Holmstrom "being in the blue", sorry but get a life mate.

And then to complain about our 3rd goal being "lucky" after they scored on freaky bounces......

Instead of bitching about the refs, how about you complain about your captain having 1 SOG after 2 games? Or maybe how the 2nd 30mins the Wings totally dominated the game with no help from the refs?

Yea in Hockey the action goes by to fast to see everything and make every call. I agree with Babs, if you look at it after on replay, you'll see a lot of things.

Nashville did tie the game 2-2. They should have carried that momentum and taken the lead. Instead, we were able to get our composure, and score a quick 3rd goal.

Exactly. Perfectly stated. If the Preds had gotten those couple of bad breaks that they claim (let's just assume they have a point) and the Wings had gone on to dominate the game and totally blow them out, I would think they had a legitimate beef, because something like that could really deflate a team. However, they came back, tied it up, had the momentum, and could not capitalize. That is no one's fault but their's. Stop blaming everyone else Trotz; put the blame on your team where it belongs.

Okay, did Homer actually touch Ellis? I didn't see any contact, just perfect positioning by Homer on the screen.

BTW, this whining by Trotz does pass over to his players, as seen when Lidstrom's goal went in Ellis immediated biatched to the ref--just because you can't see doesn't mean it is a penalty Ellis.

It's like I said in the GDT: he's blaming everything on the refs, yet no mention is made about the noticeable disapparence of Arnott, Dumont, Hlavac, etc, or the fact that Nashville was was completely dominated and ran into in the ice for the second straight game in a row.

I'm really surprised he's letting Arnott, in particular, off the hook so easily. He absolutley sucked in this game tonight, much like he did in Game 1. Again, he doesn't come to play. Yet, Trotz is too busy bitching about the refs to take notice. Where is the accontability on that team? It isn't the refs fault; it's your own damn players for not producing, or even showing up to play. Stop making excuses.

In the Trotz thought Zberg goal shouldn't have counted thread, I stated that he and fans were well within their rights/fairness of being upset that Zetterberg's goal counted when it could have gone either way (offsides, Zetterberg trip).

Today was a pretty wacky game, no goal early for the Predators et al, I don't need to explain any more as we watched.

I still stand by that anybody can complain about inconsistent officiating and the like when calls might not be obvious.

However, if all he's going to do is complain about the refs and not get on the players cases and what not, that's not good to me either. Bad breaks and inconsistent hockey calls are a part of every game, every period (as I also stated in that other thread). Again, I think it is perfectly fair for him to complain about it, but it's a part of every game and you and your team has to overcome those adversities or questionable calls. Because honestly, the only two players showing up for Nashville right now on a consistent basis are Ellis, and as much as I hate saying this, Tootoo. Their top line has barely done squat.
