Guest MrSandMan Report post Posted April 13, 2008 Here's some food for thought. 2007-2008 Regular Season Home Records Dallas: 23-16-2 (.561) Anaheim: 28-9-4 (.683) 2007-2008 Regular Season Road Records Dallas: 22-14-5 (.537) Anaheim: 19-18-4 (.463) So basically the odds are against the ducks on the road. Duck soup, anyone?

ILWingsFan1 0 Report post Posted April 13, 2008 I hate both Dallas and Anaheim, so I hope they just beat the crap out of each other for 7 games and I don't really care who wins.
VladyIBELIEVE16 257 Report post Posted April 13, 2008 (edited) I came on this site to see the Photoshop Wars which I remember from last year as being truly funny. Another spectacular job and can't wait to see more. But... Sorry Vlady, but I was there too, and didn't hear boos. I saw a lot of people leaving after the 4th goal was scored and lots more after the 5th (which was commented on in the papers, but even they didn't say booing and they are saying some pretty negative things against the Ducks today and on Friday). I heard people clap after Giguere made a save after the 4th goal was made, but definitely no boos. Lots of head shaking or no sounds at all, but not any booing unless a call went against the Ducks. And you're right, the "REFS YOU SUCK" is just stupid and being said by the dumb fans who think it will really make a difference. But to be fair, I've watched other games on TV this year between other hockey teams and heard the same chant. There are classless fans everywhere. The Ducks do look bad and you probably should hope for them to win at least a couple from Dallas since it looks like you'll sweep Nashville. At the very worst, Pronger might not care about being suspended for the beginning of the season next year, and take out Richards, Morrow, or Modano for you. no they weren't booing at the end of the game. I'm deaf and so is my boyfriend. They booed they always boo. I go to several games a season because I have friends with season tickets. With that being said - I hope they are done in dallas in 4 and i don't want PRONGER taking anyone out. He's a cheapshot artist and I'm tired of his ANTICS. Next you'll be telling me that the fans don't clap and cheer for regular icing... lol Edited April 13, 2008 by VladyIBELIEVE16
Majsheppard 203 Report post Posted April 13, 2008 This thread is way premature. When Dallas has four wins, we can all gloat and throw a parade and analyze the hell out of it. Anyone with hockey sense knew that Bertuzzi, Weight, and Schneider does not make an improvement over Penner and McDonald. I hate Burke, he is way overated and such a jerk, I cannot wait to see them bumped in round one.
Detroit # 1 Fan 2,204 Report post Posted April 14, 2008 The verdict is finally out on Giguere. He just isnt very good at all. His rebound control is attrocious, the Lehtinen goal was a result of a bad rebound. He's given up 9 goals in 2 games so far, and I dont see it getting any better. I hate the guy, and hopefully people start to realize that he's not a top 10 goalie in the league, and his superman act in the playoffs, is just that, an "act". Guest MrSandMan Report post Posted April 14, 2008 Its not over 'til its over. ...sometimes the most obvious sayings are the ones that need to be said. I agree it's not over 'til it's over... however, Ducks show no sign of heart and no care. They appear to be taking the post-season for granted. Stars are playing with edge and hunger... Ducks are soul-less and show no sign of changing their approach.

RockyMountainWingGal 108 Report post Posted April 14, 2008 Um, last time I checked it takes 4 games to win a playoff series. 1999: Detroit was up 2-0 against Colorado, lost the next 4 2001: Detroit was up 2-0 against Los Angeles, lost the next 4 2002: Detroit was down 2-0 against Vancouver, won the next 4 2008: Detroit is up 2-0 against Nashville, the series remains to be seen I wouldn't count my chickens before they hatch. None of these series are even remotely close to being over yet. Thank you - the series vs the Avs and Kings nearly killed me those two years. I am never confident until we are up 7-0 in the third period of game 7 (lol '02). Ducks can surely comeback, but I don't think they will based on the way they've been playing. They didn't lost two close games - they stunk it up for both. Giggy has been terrible and they are getting smoked on their strategy of taking alot of penalties - Stars are taking advantage. Something we failed to do last year in the WCF - although the Ducks were playing better than this. I bet they split in Dallas - then Stars take it in 5 or 6. (sorry Duck fan - been there felt that if it happens).
