MVP of round 1?

Rate this topic

Recommended Posts

I haven't been on here too much, so don't know if there's already a topic of this nature. I looked on page 1, and surprisingly didn't see anything, or at least I think.

Nonetheless, who do you think is our round 1 MVP?

I might say Kronwall. He hasn't averaged as much ice time as the other 2 top defensemen, but he's been a force. A highlight reel hit virtually every game, along with spending some time on the scoresheet. I'd say Kronner. Datsyuk, maybe, but I guess me saying Kronner might have been for the sole purpose of not going with the crowd, but he has been nuts.

My old and now stinky Red Wings t-shirt. I pulled it out for game 5 and haven't washed it since. Ozzie had nothing to do with the turnaround. It was all the t-shirt.

Ellis hands down.

For the Det-Nas series absolutely.

For the Red Wings I would have to go with Datsyuk.

His offensive output was a constant given. Without him... round 2 would have been a lot tougher to reach..

DET/NAS series - Dan Ellis

Detroit - Datsyuk or Kronwall (tough one)

NHL - Carey Price

NHL - Carey Price ??

One characteristic of a Most Valuable Player is consistency.

Price isn't.

2 shutouts is nice.. giving up 10 goals in 2 games isn't..

Man this is a tough question.

1. Datsyuk - Due to his overall performance, far most valuable.

2. Kronwall- Wow!! I have never been more impressed with him. He had momentum turning hits and good performance

3. Hudler- I know, I know. I don't want to say it either but his secondary scoring was impressive.

Agreed.

All NHL MVP is either Briere, Fleury, or Crosby. I don't know if playing 4 games should get you too much recognition, but Crosby averaged 2 points per game, and Fleury tore it up in net.

I guess the difference between you and I is I actually watched the series.
