miller76 463 Report post Posted April 26, 2008 I know there was a semi-recent thread covering his injury on April 3rd against Columbus. And his surgey was "acceptable", whatever the hell that means. But I was at detnews.com and checking out the galleries. Is this really the case, could he possibly be skating this soon? I know they said 4-6 months to play, but to skate after that surgery already. Is this him? It sure looks like 82 on his helmet. Here is the redwings announcing the surgery on April 22nd: http://redwings.nhl.com/team/app?articleid...mp;service=page This is supposedly him April 23rd. The next day? http://multimedia.detnews.com/pix/photogal...ice/index11.htm This link if you go to the 4/23/2008 will take you there as well. Its pic.11 of 14 http://info.detnews.com/redesign/multimedi...allery=redwings If this is all true, this guy is either superman or on some serious painkillers. betterREDthandead 58 Report post Posted April 26, 2008 Gotta be a mistake on the part of the paper. Maybe someone borrowed helmet #82. No way Kopecky is skating hard on a freshly repaired ACL. Never happen.
miller76 463 Report post Posted April 26, 2008 I think that's 93. Iam not so sure. I stared at that number for like 5 minutes before I posted it. But the player is definetly built stockier like Franzen.
LadyWildcat 4 Report post Posted April 26, 2008 I'm pretty sure it's 93 as well. They're not very good at labeling players, in picture 8 from that day they have Meech labeled as Downey.
miller76 463 Report post Posted April 26, 2008 I can't imagine anyone coming back that soon after a procedure like that. It has to be a mistake!

He's not coming back anytime this season. ACL injuries take a good bit of time to recover from, and that includes rehab first and getting it stronger in the weight room.
