...I am not on your side, the only thing I did prove is that Osgood has a winning percentage better than the three goalies you mentioned. He has 2 Cups (one his) and soon (hopefully) to be 3. He will play at least 3 more seasons with Detroit and at his current winning percentage average of nearly 55 percent, if he plays in 60 games each of those years he'll amass 99 more wins. He should win a Cup (or two) in that time. I am one of the biggest Osgood fans here and always have and always will call him a ligitmate #1 goalie. He will be the starter next year, there is no reason for Dickhead Holland to even try to sign an overpaid goalie, Hasek will be gone and Howard will be Osgood's back-up. Stats are not useless, it is was judges each and every player in ANY league...

...and I proved that all you Osgood haters are wrong. In the end, he will have won 3 or more Cups, possibly become the #1 all time Red Wing goalie in wins, be inducted into the Halll of Fame and see his number hanging next to OTHER Red Wing greats...

...but like you say, the "UNBIASED" experts think Dallas has the edge in goal this series, because Turco stopped 61 of 62 shots and won on a penalty that shouldn't had been called at that time of the game. Of course San Jose isn't Detroit and Jeremy Roeneck, Joe Thornton and Patrick Marleau are not Zetterberg, Datsyuk or Franzen. Turco doesn't stand a chance, I'll give him one game in Dallas, but that is a maybe...

If you guys are tired of the media picking the stars, go to Yahoo.

Almost every Hockey expert on Yahoo is picking the Wings to win the whole thing.

The redundant answer they keep giving is:

The Wings are the most Skilled team in the league and skill will beat __________

A. Pit's Youth/skill

B. Dal's hot goalie/ style of play

C. Phi's Toughness and grit/skill

Pretty much they are saying that there is no way any one can stop the Wings amount of skill.

One guy went on to say that if Det wanted to be cruel to Col they would have split the first line up and rolled 4 lines of skill that would have been a meaner way to beat up Col.

On Around the Horn yesterday both Woody Paige and Tim Cowlishaw picked Det to go all the way, TC didn't pick CF winners from either conference, just saying that Detroit's skill would over take the other teams strengths

If Cleary can start to find his game, things could be unstoppably scary for the Winged Wheel. The Stars are a low powered offensive team. If the wings continue to put the in the bisket, the Stars will be unable to match the score board. Consistency, puck control with no give aways and odd man rushes and we will win!

The Stars offense is weak. They managed to score against the Sharks because SJ's forwards played even weaker in their own zone. San Jose is not a hard team to score against and they barely managed to do it. Dallas cannot outscore Franzen, much less the whole Wings team if they only put up a couple goals per game. And it's going to be even harder for them to get those couple goals when they're are only touching the puck for about half the amount of time they did against the Sharks. As far as Ozzie goes, he's a streak player. I'm not an Ozzie lover or hater, I've both cheered and cursed him depending on how he's playing at the time. If he brings his A game he'll make Turco look like he should be in the minors. As weak as Dallas's offense is there's a good chance he'll have a shutout or two. If he doesn't he'll be the bum who's letting in shots from 60 feet and we'll see Dom in net again. The fact that he faces so few shots and still puts up the save % he has so far in the playoffs is incredible. Even facing less shots than Turco he still has a better %. You can say that GAA average doesn't mean much and I would agree with you because Ozzie faces so few shots per game, but to say that the save % doesn't matter is just dishonest or ignorant. The Sharks vs Stars was an interesting series, and Turco was awesome in game six. Unfortunately for the Stars, Turco playing better against the Wings than he has in his career every game of this series is the only chance their team has of even being competitive, much less winning a game. If Turco plays a game like he did in game 6 against SJ, he may stretch this series to five games.
