redwingsgirl 0 Report post Posted May 7, 2008 The sad thing is that the media coverage of NHL in general doesn't seem that far off from this "article". The Lions and NFL draft get more coverage than the Red Wings Playoffs!

DallasStars 0 Report post Posted May 7, 2008 The quotes from our coach bleed sarcasm. We have Stars beat reporters and some coverage other than those guys. But, yeah, we most def don't get the attention we deserve. It's Cowboys, Mavericks, Rangers, then Stars as far as the media is concerned. It's a shame. Guest CaliWingsNut Report post Posted May 7, 2008 Detroit Lions not buying Detroit Lions. DETROIT—Following their 44-7 victory over the Denver Broncos Sunday, players, coaches, and staff of the 6-2 Detroit Lions football team reported that the Detroit Lions football team cannot realistically be considered a legitimate contender in the National Football Conference. "Come on, the Lions are a combined 23-72 in the last six years and haven't won a playoff game since the early '90s," said Lions head coach Rod Marinelli, adding that it "won't be long" before this year's Detroit team inevitably flounders and quarterback Jon Kitna reverts back to his 2002 self. "Sure, they've won a few games, but a real playoff team doesn't lose to the Philadelphia Eagles." Kitna responded to his coach's statement by saying he wouldn't be surprised if the Lions lost by 25 points to the 3-5 Arizona Cardinals next Sunday.

Its a fictional satire newspaper. No need to worry about the coach's comments, as he never made those.

DallasStars 0 Report post Posted May 7, 2008 Do you know what "The Onion" is? Its a fictional satire newspaper. No need to worry about the coach's comments, as he never made those. Our coach has been quoted saying things of this nature. And, it's pretty much true. The Stars are the outcast here for the most part. I guess that's why I got a little confused. He does say things like this.
