40#1Fan 0 Report post Posted May 12, 2008 http://redwingscorner.blogspot.com/ Jiri Lehtinen is questionable for tonight's game -- a game-time decision. Steve Ott skated on the top line along with Mike Ribeiro and Brenden Morrow at the morning skate. Brad Richards wasn't on the ice this morning. I'll update after coach Dave Tippett's press conference. Ribeiro said that he wasn't surprised that there were no suspensions from the stick-swinging incident at the end of Game 2. The Stars' top scorer said that Chris Osgood's butt-end was worse than his action. Ribeiro said that if he was suspended for one game, he would have expected Osgood to be suspended for two games. StevieY9802 6 Report post Posted May 12, 2008 Richards played the most out of any Stars player on Saturday. That would be a big loss for a team already having trouble putting the puck in the net.
DallasStars 0 Report post Posted May 12, 2008 Stu Barnes (concussion-like symptoms) will miss his sixth game of the playoffs Monday. Barnes worked out hard Thursday and has been battling headaches since. Winger Jere Lehtinen (leg) is questionable and will be a game-time decision. However, he did not skate with the team Monday morning. Defenceman Philippe Boucher (hip strain) is out. - Dallas Morning News Winger Johan Franzen (concussion-like symptoms) is out. According to a team news release before Game 2, Franzen had been experiencing headaches since early in the Western Conference semifinals against Colorado. The Detroit medical staff has suggested he not play until further tests can be done Monday in Detroit.

Nero 20 Report post Posted May 12, 2008 Will Detroit be skating in Dallas before the game? I think it'd be nice if they could get used to the ice awhile before the game.
Jasper84 333 Report post Posted May 12, 2008 Hopefully Richards does play tonight. If Detroit wins, and he doesn't play, we'll have to listen to Dallas fans saying the only lost because Richards was out.
DallasStars 0 Report post Posted May 12, 2008 Would there be any reason other than possible injury that Richards didn't skate? Honestly, I dont know. We all know these morning skates are "optional". Maybe he wasnt feeling too well or something. I think an actual injury that could sideline him would be reported. Well, reported as good as it gets this time of year. Vincanni 1 Report post Posted May 12, 2008 (edited) Hopefully Richards does play tonight. If Detroit wins, and he doesn't play, we'll have to listen to Dallas fans saying the only lost because Richards was out. Series is already 2-0 and we beat them in the regular season with Richards, heck they've yet to beat us with Richards in the line up, but yeah I still agree with what you're getting at no matter how illogical it'll be. Of course at this point in the season sometimes taking a practice off is better that practicing just due to fatigue. Edited May 12, 2008 by Vincanni

Real1 2 Report post Posted May 12, 2008 (edited) Would there be any reason other than possible injury that Richards didn't skate? Because he didn't want to maybe? EDIT:Forgot the quote...... Edited May 12, 2008 by Real1
Jasper84 333 Report post Posted May 12, 2008 Series is already 2-0 and we beat them in the regular season with Richards, heck they've yet to beat us with Rochards in the line up, but yeah I still agree with what you're getting at no matter how illogical it'll be. Every team that loses will have an excuse, no matter how ridiculous it sounds. They've used the excuse of refs/nhl giving the wings the advantage last two games, so it sure wouldn't surprise me if they switched to this excuse for this game. Jasper84 333 Report post Posted May 12, 2008 Not at all. If the Wings lose, it just means that they got out played. We can't expect the Wing's to win every game they play, it just doesn't work that way.
Vincanni 1 Report post Posted May 12, 2008 So, if Riberio tears it up tonight whats your excuse going to be? He should have been suspended? It'll be Osgood's fault most likely, or whoever the defense men guarding Ribeiro is. That's how we roll, we don't blame conspiracies our third party interference, we just lump the blame on one player and make him our scapegoat with most of the time that player being the goalie
zenway9 1 Report post Posted May 12, 2008 So, if Riberio tears it up tonight whats your excuse going to be? He should have been suspended? That would mean that a team with lesser talent beat a better team. No excuses.

We can't expect the Wing's to win every game they play, it just doesn't work that way. We don't need an excuse. We all know what Detroit is capable of. Hell, we're 10-2 in the playoffs. I don't think anyone expects us to win every game left in the playoffs. (though we can hope) That might be true for the both of you. But, you know that there will be a thread probably 3-4 pages long saying he should have been suspended. You have those types. We have those types as well. The folks talking about the bias' and all of that s***.

You have those types. We have those types as well. The folks talking about the bias' and all of that s***. Go dig up the threads for when we lost the two games to Nashville. There may be a hand full of people, or less, that blamed the loss on a poor excuse. The majority of this board blamed the loss on our boys not playing a whole 60 minute game, for both games. DallasStars 0 Report post Posted May 12, 2008 Yeah....Im just some redneck dumbass who doesn't know anything about hockey. I should just stick to my cowboy hat and horses, right? Give me a break. You, good sir, have a Red Wing stuck up your ass more so than anyone else I've read here. Alot of folks here will tell it like it is, but you refuse and then bring up that I, crazily, in some werid world root for the team that I've watched all my life as a negative thing. Darn.
