Zion's thread after the Predators tied the game in last minute of Game 5 was pricelesss as well. Then after Franzen buried it less than 2 minutes into the first OT, he stated that it didn't change anything. Since then however, he has changed his tune.

I never made any negative post during the Nashville series,I did wonder about Hasek before the first puck was ever dropped starting the Stanley Cup Playoffs. I had no doubt that our team "skaters" were more than capable of going all the way! Last year showed us all this team was maturing into a powerhouse once again.

My only thought was do we have the goaltending to complete the quest for the Cup.After Hasek let in two goals with in 2 minutes TWICE in two games,I was in disbelieve.I thought our team has all the missing pieces,how is this happening. We got kronwall healthy who we didn't have last year.We got a piece of our heart back in McCarty.Datsyuk and Zetterberg have transformed into the superstars we all knew they were.

Rafalski proved to be the perfect replacement for Schneider,Hudler has became a man this year.All the piece were there,except for goaltending.Little did I know that Chris Osgood would be the Hero we all have been looking for.

No matter what happens from here on out,Chris Osgood has SHOCKED THE HELL OUT OF ME! He's played better than he's ever played. Think about it,the Red Wings are undefeated at the time of this post, since Osgood took over in net,what seems to be HIS HOUSE.He must have the song "you keep knocking but you can't come in" playing in his head right now.

This team doesn't have the Hall of Famers we had in 02,but there playing like they'd destroy the team we had then.I've never seen the Wings dominate the playoffs like this before. Who really believed we'd sweep the Av's and on the brink of sweeping the Stars?This team has a fire burning inside we haven't seen since 98 in my opinion.

IMO Holland missed the boat BIG TIME this year. "We tried to make some things fit?!" Try harder. Detroit's defence is #1 in the league already. Yeah, it did just get a lot better, but our offence is still a one trick pony. I haven't lost faith in the Red Wings, just Ken.

The best GM's make great moves at the deadline, where's that secondary scoring everyone was hoping for? OH, they're in pittsburgh, dallas, washington. All we needed was a solid 2nd line player, center or wing. I sure hope Franzen, Hudler, or Filpulla can somehow turn into a solid second line sniper over the next few weeks. Predicting a playoff collapse by a team that has had a lot of them, despite regular season success, is also easy to do.

And I don't think people were 'bailing'. Fans from all sports are pationate about their teams. That means they react unrealistically to every and all scenarios - win or lose.

Forums like LGW are for people to express their opinions and emotions in any manor. That's why they come here. Can you imagine how boring this place would be if everyone wrote "The Wings are the best. We're awesome!" or after losing "Oh well, you can't win 'em all. I love you Wings!".

Let people vent. Just like it's fun to watch people rejoice over insignificant victories.
