datsyukismyfriend 4 Report post Posted May 15, 2008 this one's for hockeycrazy3033: i'm confident the wings will take game five. and with healthy franzen (assuming he resumes his recent dominance or close to it) i'm confident we'll take the pens in six. Yak19 303 Report post Posted May 15, 2008 alot of players seemed to have taken the night off, we could have still won though thats the positive here, a terrible call (what can you do but beat the crap out of a punching bag) cost us momentum which most likely would have won us the game, we move on, keep at it boys it will come. GO WINGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lol. I have to laugh about the fact that everyone admonished him for the first one but were fine with the second. What a terrible post, man. Edit: Thanks FinWing. Someone finally stuck up for the poor refs. They weren't good but death? Edited May 15, 2008 by Doggy

rbochan 15 Report post Posted May 15, 2008 (edited) If there's similar f***edupedness tomorrow night, I'd imagine that the NHL reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeally wants to make sure NBC gets their game 5's on the air. Edited May 15, 2008 by rbochan

Yak19 303 Report post Posted May 15, 2008 Oh well, tough game to lose. However, after winning both games at home, I'm sure the goal was to split in Dallas, and we did. Winning both games would have been a bonus. Despite the goal being called off, I thought Dallas was the better team tonight, and deserved to win. Sometimes when a team is on a roll like we were, you get a little lazy because things are always going your way. I don't want us to be lazy going into the Stanley Cup Finals. We'll be refocused, and ready to win the Western Conference Title at home on Saturday. good stuff, i like the re-focused comment, agreed. GO WINGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! GO WINGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yea we still outshot them by a good amount. The puck didn't go in the net for us, and it went in for them, that's how it goes sometimes. No worries here, we're up 3-1 in the series, and Game 5 is at The Joe where Turco has never won a game. We're still in complete control!

Vincanni 1 Report post Posted May 15, 2008 First line of the recap reads... Detroit’s goal with a guy barely in the crease, if at all, didn’t count. Dallas’ goal with a guy clearly in the crease did count. Apparently, that’s what it takes to slow the mighty Red Wings. http://sports.yahoo.com/nhl/recap?gid=2008051409 At least we're not the only ones who get it. Sgt. Angry 23 Report post Posted May 15, 2008 Sorry, but being a "glass is half empty" kind of guy, I still keep thinking about that series a few years back in California, when the Wings were ahead 2 games to none, and had a two goal lead in the third period, when the wheels came off. They lost the game and the next three. So I'm always concerned about the Wings suddenly losing it. I was really hoping that they would stomp on their throats like they did to Colorado. robat 13 Report post Posted May 15, 2008 We are done for. I can't believe this is going to happen to us. The first team to lose after having a 3 game lead in 33 years. Just kidding. I'm still ready to go to game 1 on Thursday at the latest.

What's stopping the referees from doing it again on Saturday? I'll continue being concerned until the series is over.

Not that our lads were lazy: it looked to me like the real Stars showed up tonight. "Playing for pride," indeed. (altho I shoulda known, the instant I learned O'Halloranwas reffing. Bet he's jagoff to video of Homer no-goal as we speak) I'm disappointed about the no-sweep: but yanno, pre- 3-zip, all I was hoping for outta the Dallas games was a split, and we got that. [edited because I said Devorski instead of O'Halloran, doh! Same diff, tho] Edited May 15, 2008 by RedRockit
