irishtemper14+25 11 Report post Posted May 28, 2008 I agree with whoever said "Malkin is lazy and he sucks" Malkin chokes under pressure...especially in the playoffs If i were gm i would trade him for a clutch playoff performer in Robert Lang

FUUFNF 1 Report post Posted May 28, 2008 it would be interesting to see a pens fan's take on this possible move... say, what happend to all those over confident pens fans that were here a week ago?.. oh, yeah being down 2 games and not scoring one measily goal in the finals will surely make them folk disappear rather quickly... lol. UKWING 8 Report post Posted May 28, 2008 What I love about Babs is his view on matchups. He said in his presser the other day that he thinks sometimes people get too hung up on matchups. He said he thinks it will be nice to be able to just roll the lines and let them go and play, without worrying about the matchups all that much. IMO this is genius. I do understand trying to keep Lids out with the Pens top line though, but thats a no brainer. well the wings have 3 very good checking lines and 2 very strong defensive pairs so babs does not need to be overly concerned with matchups. it also helps that the wings are such a great face-off team so even if they do get caught with an undesirable match-up then more often than not they will gain possession of the puck straight from the face-off and be able to get a quick change. betterREDthandead 58 Report post Posted May 28, 2008 May as well put Malkin on with Laraque and Kennedy. If he's really that tired, he's just gonna drag down whoever he plays with. Sid's a playmaker. If Malkin can't catch up to the play to finish, all that playmaking will be useless. And who's gonna spark the offense, if not Sid? Ryan "Eight Minutes" Malone? Dr Rosenrosen 0 Report post Posted May 28, 2008 Rumor was false. Starting lines for Game 3: Dupuis-Crosby-Hossa Malone-Malkin-Sykora Rutuu-Staal-Kennedy Hall-Talbot-Roberts However, if the Pens get down by 1 goal, Therrien will immediately revert to full panic mode. That means Crosby+Malkin and whatever the Random Line Generator spits out each shift.

I don't mean to be laughing at the Penguins misfortune, but I will say when I read that "Random Line Generator" comment on your boards, I nearly pissed myself. It sucks because someone stole it from him late in the year and things were clicking, but he must have built a faster, stronger model for when Sid came back. Version 2.0 actually includes D pairings. MalkinsJock 0 Report post Posted May 28, 2008 The Pens have already rolled basically every combination of their top two lines in the last two games. We've seen: Malone-Crosby-Hossa Dupius-Crosby-Hossa Talbot-Crosby-Hossa Malkin-Crosby-Hossa Sykora-Malkin-Malone Talbot-Malkin-Malone Dupius-Malkin-Sykora Anything short of moving up Staal, its nothing we havent already seen. Therrien is a terrible coach, its impossible to get any chemistry if you're constantly shuffling lines.

VM1138 1,921 Report post Posted May 28, 2008 Actually, I just perused their forums, even the Pens fans seemed to be pretty upset about the line changes. Apparently they think it'll hamstring them worse. Amazing. Therrien is either the most brilliant coach or the worst the game has ever seen.
