Sepster 0 Report post Posted June 2, 2008 OK, so in the fall the Hockey News will come out with it's Top 50 NHL players, where do YOU think they'll rank Lidstrom, Zetterberg, Datsyuk, Franzen and Kronwall? As a recap, last year's rankings were as follows; 1. Sid he Kid 4. Lidstrom 25. Zetterberg (I think he may move up a little ) 36. Datsyuk (He may move up a spot or two as well) N/R. Franzen N/R. Kronwall IMO, Lidstrom, Zetterberg and Datsyuk should all be Top 10. Let the debate begin
Datsyerberger 279 Report post Posted June 2, 2008 Is this what I want to see, or what I expect to see? If it's what I expect... 1. Sidney Crosby (bolded, large print) 2 and all the rest. Small print, fuzzy, barely readable.

Dabura 12,232 Report post Posted June 2, 2008 (edited) I'm only interested in the top 5. Nick, Hank and Dats own the first three spots, respectively. But we all know how the politics work. Edited June 2, 2008 by Dabura
Stan Leycup X 0 Report post Posted June 2, 2008 I'm only interested in the top 5. Nick, Hank and Dats own the first three spots, respectively. But we all know how the politics work. Come on. It'll be something like: Sidney Crosby Joe Thornton Evgeni Malkin Nicklas Lidstrom Martin Brodeur
RWK23 0 Report post Posted June 2, 2008 Ovechkin takes over the #1 spot with Crosby becoming #2. Lidstrom moves up one spot to #3. Hank and Pavel undoubtedly move into the top 15, probably the top 10. Kronner and Franzen might sneak into the 40s range and look out for Rafalski as well. You could make an argument for him. VM1138 1,921 Report post Posted June 2, 2008 It's not about who is the best, though. They will "balance" it so not a single team has too much clout. So even if we had 4 of the 5 best in the world, only one or two would be listed. So I think Lidstrom and Zetterberg will be our reps in the Top 5, with Datsyuk maybe making it into the Top 10.
