Getting a little nervous, Detroit fans?

What are you talking about, OsGod? Malkin is the best Red Wing on the ice. Crisp passes directly to our players, lazy backchecking, complete disappearance in the offensive zone, he's awesome!

what does the D-man short have to do with Malkin... its not like does anything defensively... He pretty much just sucks air all game long doing nothing.

Can't speak for Geno and no one really knows what's wrong with him right now (we'll find out after the series), but what does it say that we're at home with a chance to get a Game 7 with our team MVP being invisible the entire series?

And by the way, this series aside, Malkin is very strong defensively and probably our best penalty killer when used.

For all this talk of grammar and verb tenses, Pens fans don't seem to have much of a grasp of basic math; last I checked, 3>2. The ball is ultimately still in Detroit's proverbial court here, as much as Pittsburgh enjoys clinging to cliche sportscaster buzzwords like 'momentum'. Game 6 is in Pittsburgh, yes, but citing the Pens home success dosen't hold much water when only the last two going on three games at the Igloo involved the Wings. And hey, Detroit has proved not only that it can win at the Igloo, but it can do so with a gift-wrapped 5-on-3 against them, and without needing to score the first goal. It was supposedly impossible for them to win Game 4, now all of the sudden it's supposedly impossible to win now?

If I were a betting man I would probably take any odds that the Pens would win the last game, seeing as how the GAME IS OVER. I understand english + math might be a bit of a challenge to a Wings fan, but "the Pens need to win 3 in a row" is a sentence in the "present tense." [Now follow me here because we're adding the math part] Since there are only 2 games left in the season and we are, indeed, in the present, it follows that the Pens need to win exactly 2 games in a row to win the Cup. Of course after tonight it will be one, but I don't want to overload your pea brain with "future tense".

You are a moron and have no idea what you are talking about. I realize that you learned in 3rd grade about past, present, and future tenses but there are many other tenses as well. For example, when someone says that the Pens have to win three games in a row (after they have one the first game), that person is speaking in the future perfect continuous tense (or possibly depending upon wording the present perfect progressive tense). Its so cute that you try to explain grammar (and demean someone) when it is painfully obvious that you have such a minute grasp of the English language but maybe you shouldn't try to teach if you don't understand what you are talking about. If the Pens are to indeed win the Cup then they will in fact have to win 3 games in a row, it does not matter that one of the wins has already happened. That win is part of a continuous line that although began in the past, is presently continuing, and will have to continue into the future in order for the Pens to win the Cup. I know that my pea sized brain  may not be able to understand many things but I do realize that there are situations where a 3rd grade education doesn't give me the intelligence to articulate a position as I realize that sometime because of time continuum events are a progression from the past through the present and into the future. :scared: Amazing I know but maybe you with your big old brain can understand it.

If the Wings don't win tonight, that's honestly, 100% not going to be the reason why. They are a veteran bunch who knows how to put this stuff past them. Probably the most important vet in the bunch tonight (Ozzie) is better than anyone at that.

The Wings will use that anger as fuel, not a hindrance.

Agreed, but you're also one of the few people here that get my point aren't you? The 5 games already in the books have no bearing on tonight. It's one game at a time.

Given that Pens fans were all but coronating a game 4 win after game 3 (much like how you're coronating a game 6 - and 7 - win after seeing the results of game 5), I'm going to have to call hypocricy on this.

Oh i am sorry bro, i didn't realize how hard up your team was for defensive talent that he is as good as it gets... I will be nice to the White Russian now... he means something to you guys.

Bring water, that's for damn sure. You'll be waiting in line all afternoon to buy it. And I take the weather as a GOOD sign... For the 1997. 1998 and 2002 parades the weather was always sunny and blazing hot... Every year I was in Hart Plaza and wondering why the $%#* they couldn't at least have the fountain going... though I did get to see one idiot try to crawl up one of the poles only to fall down 2/3rd of the way up it.

That made it worth it.

*Knocks on wood. Throws salt over right shoulder. etc. etc.*

I can't speak for the others but, personally, I was curled up in a ball with a bottle of scotch. Frankly, I think the thread topic is pretty ridiculous. I would never say Detroit sucks because, if we're lucky enough to pull this s*** out, I want to be able to say we beat one of the best teams ever put together.

Having said all that, blow yourself.

:hysterical: Oh but according to the Pens fans we should be so concerned because Pitt beat us a second time :hysterical:

Not hypocracy, just optimism.

the problem is you can say that being down 3-2 but if for some god awful reason the pens pull something like that off im sure most pens fans if not all well go back to the place they were at the very first of the series saying they were the better team....we told you....yada yada.

how is he a puck bunny for showing no interest in watching your pens throughout the year? I personally have no interest in ever watching the pens, even with the big names they carry.

Not hypocracy, just optimism.

By that logic, I can say "We lost game 3 then rebounded in game 4 on Penguins ice. We lost game 5, winning game 6 on Penguins ice again is a given"
