Wings logo is far superior in design. And yet, the Red Wings logo was ripped off from a Montreal team, so maybe there's poetic justice in there somewhere. I kid, these online logo/mask/jockstrap competitions are rather pointless. I think all of the Original Six logos are great because of their simplicity. I kid, these online logo/mask/jockstrap competitions are rather pointless. Fitting then that the Stanley Cup belongs to Michigan since we created the first professional Hockey league. However, yeah these polls are pretty pointless. I remember last year we got bumped in a logo contest by the Vancouver logo because of a strong online campaign to propel the Orca 'C' into the finals. Now it's up against the Canadiens and last time I checked was losing 46 percent to 54 percent. If we were to lose to a team I'm glad it's an original six. In my mind the Wings, Canadiens, Leafs and Blackhawks have the best logos in hockey (and maybe in sports). The Canadiens logo isn't overly 'cool' but it's unique and carry's a lot of history with it.
