King of sweden is in town

FTA: "The Red Wings' Swedish players will meet tomorrow with Sweden's King Carl XVI Gustaf, who is on two-day tour of Michigan to celebrate the opening of a Flint-Swedish joint project that will turn human waste into fuel for power and vehicles."

Trying to leave politics out of this, but that is cool of the King to come all this way to show

support for this. What will be more interesting is to hear how this project pans out. I have to admire the way other countries show progressive attitudes and it seems I hear a lot about Sweden being a great country. I also really like their right of the people to use the land, so hiking, fishing, boating, etc are all freely permitted.

Actually i heard sweden has a fishing policy that is really dumb. And I heard they recently passed legislation for less internet/phone/tv privacy.

yeah you can fish, hiking, boating everywhere, some lakes you have to pay for though

"And I heard they recently passed legislation for less internet/phone/tv privacy"

No that's not true, the goverment wanna monitor phonecall/email from other countries to sweden, but it still need approval from court of law and clear evidence that they are terrorists or other threats so basically the same as in U.S

Of course. Just like empires have emperors, kingdoms have kings. America is a country so they have George Bush.

Ouch. Sucks to be a country then. At least they have a 70+ Bush act-alike with horrible rage issues on the horizon!

I was just kidding, relax. I would've said it about Australia but like any of you knows who Kevin Rudd is.

I do. It's kinda funny that to this day if you google 'Bush boot licker' you'll still find many instances of John Howard in the results... hopefully Mr. Rudd's got a little better public image in Oz?

Back on topic though I wonder how much hype there is to being king of Sweden? I mean like if queen Elizabeth (or any of her family for that matter) shows up anywhere it's a big deal. I tell ya what I like him already.. turning #2 into electricity, right on man!

I don't he's earnt the image of being professional kiss-arse to the US president yet, but aside form that his image is still pretty poor. I can't stand the little prick.
