wings will probably loose, zetterberg is out, the 1st line will not bere "there" yet, 2nd line sucks now that samuelsson is there, 3rd line is pretty good but hudler is too small... there will also be lots of turnovers, passes without reciever etc

VAN 3 DET 1

Dude... Why bother coming to the site if your just going to moan about things... Just the other day you were saying Z has played like crap, so it should not affect the game at all if he is playing or not.

Damn Dude.... Be realistic...

What are you basing that on? I haven't had DirectTV for very long but we've had a couple rainstorms already and the feed comes through without problems and is crystal clear.

My parents have had Dtv for two years now out at the camp ground... the storms kill the reception but if you haven't had that issues then awesome news for you!

Then again what does a place like B-dubs have that also loves to get the "lost satellite" message frequently in storms?

It's a shame we have to play without Z this early in the season, but I still predict a Wings victory tonight.

3-0 Detroit. Goals from Hossa, Datsyuk, and Filppula. Ozzie with the shutout.

Also, glad to see this game is on TSN. It's my favorite sports network by a longshot.

Not trying to contribue to a de-railment here, but DTV was always fine for me in rain storms (when I had it for ~6 years).. I live in southwest MI, so the snow would accumulate on the dish.. When that happened, or ice, THEN there would be issues..

I much prefer Cable. Cable doesn't have near as many HD feeds, but when there's a rainstorm or a snowstorm (which is common in West Michigan) the DirecTV drops out whereas the Cable feed is nice and steady.

Interesting...

Please keep me posted. If I don't end up on a coast, I'd like to try and stay closer to Detroit (in Buffalo now) and I absolutely MUST have FSN-Detroit.

Why? For the post/pregame stuff? If thats important to you than DirectTV is the way to go as FSN Detroit HD is included with their Premiere package. If just watching Detroit sports is what you're after keep in mind that blackouts will apply if you aren't in the area. I have DirectTV with FSN Detroit HD, but I have to watch Wings games on NHL Center Ice due to Green Bay, WI being in the blackout area. Before and after the game though I flip over to FSN Detroit.

listenning to Vancouver's Team 1040 today, they had Canucks color guy Tom Larsheid on. He talked at length about the great legends that have worn the Winged Wheel. He said teams always get up for a game against Detroit, and doubly so now that they are Stanley Cup Champs.

Made me realize: To be the best, you have to beat the best. But to stay the best, you have to beat every body at their best.

The Canucks will be at their best tonite. Its against Detroit, whom they always get up for, and its the first game after the shallacking in Washington. They have a lot to prove tonite in figuring out their new identity. Detroit will have its hands full.

4-3 Canucks. I certainly hope I'm wrong.

Where do you come up with this stuff? All that's missing from your post is a question that starts with "Whats to stop Chris Chelios from........"

I always read his predictions and thought he was just kidding... guess not.

Are these your words? If so, I like.

It should be a good game and I am looking forward to watching... Like others have stated, with Z sitting Pavel and Hossa will need to step it up. More than likely watch Franzen be killer tonight.

Yeah thanks. Being out west without cable I gotta watch Vancouver, Edmonton, and Calgary fumble and bumble around playing each other all the time. But they always get up for the WIngs. Just like CHicago, St Louis, and Nashville do.

And then the big reason its so hard to repeat as Cup Champs. people always say its the hangover and the lack of motivation. Well I think the biggest obstacle is because everybody is at their best when then play you. "Ahh, we're gonna play Tampa tomorrow, BFD" But the Cup Champs, oh we better bring or "A" game.

I don't mean to sound like a Homer, thats just the way it is.
