puckloo39 5,686 Report post Posted February 14, 2009 I really was hoping to find out where to recycle to used batteries though. I have so many from my voice recorder and do not want them to go into a dump. serious answer, a lot of Radio Shacks used to take them, and some grocery stores here. Austin is very "green" so there are Household Hazardous Waste recycling centers here. It's free, but you have to go there and drop stuff off. We all get together on my street and take a big bunch of stuff.
Rivalred 630 Report post Posted February 14, 2009 nope, last month. Ack! TBPM likes to wear flip flops. *It's why I live in Texas, where I can wear them about 11 months out of the year. I have sandles on at the moment. Always wear then around the house. TPBM loves Vernors. serious answer, a lot of Radio Shacks used to take them, and some grocery stores here. 55fan 5,133 Report post Posted February 14, 2009 (edited) I have never tried. My Aunt Marge did when she went to Hawaii, but she hated it. She said "All I got was sand in my swimsuit and I was a bitchy old lady." She was 79 years old at the time, and decided that if she hadn't tried it before, it was high time she did. Yeah, this is the same Aunt Marge that was sledding at the age of 83. The person below me wore out-of-date hand-me-downs as a child and was too dorky to notice that they looked dorky Edit to put in hyphens. puckloo39 5,686 Report post Posted February 15, 2009 I curse like Yosemite Sam on a semi-regular basis. The person below me hates looking at people that have a uni-brow we'd have to hate half the hockey players (minimum) in the world, then. I must say the "Frida Kahlo look" on women doesn't do much for me. It's too easy to do something about that, you know? Groucho eyebrows are out on goils. TPBM likes marinara sauce more than alfredo sauce.

55fan 5,133 Report post Posted February 15, 2009 Actually, it's been pretty bad. My mom called this morning to tell me my dad passed away. He had had a mild heart attack several years ago. This one was not mild. Oddly enough, he lived in South Dakota, and the attending doctor was a Red Wings fan. The person below me has used Red Wings Stanley Cup videos to cheer them up in depressing times.

I often watch my Wings videos and love them, since I only keep the ones where we win. I love stories where I know the ending is good and makes me happy! In the comedy section, I keep the Statue of Liberty goal game and the 7-0 debacle from the Avs series 2002. Ah... memories! TPBM had to do the laundry today.
