The person below me game...

I was never really a fan.

The person below me has a short temper.

You'd be a fan of Dilbert if you worked here. It's all real, and when you live it, you have to laugh at it. I consider you very fortunate, that the scripts do not resonate with you. That's good.

I don't have a short temper with people who can't help themselves. Otherwise most people I talk to daily would be dead. They can't help being how they are... so I move on and deal with it. Anger doesn't help.

The person below me wants a cupcake right now. :)

Probably in the past, really wouldn't be embarrassed so much by it now. I'm not intentionally going out to do that in front of people, but if it happens, it happens. Accidents happen sometimes.

The person below me wants to take this upstairs.

If you want to go upstairs, you'd be on my roof. My bf was supposed to come over today and seal it, but it's raining, so we'll have to put it off. If you want to take it upstairs, you go right ahead, but you'll be carrying 2 heavy cans, a brush, and a roller, and you won't be coming down until it's done.

The person below me finds humour in odd places.

No tattoos here, but if I had tattoos, it would be not regretted due to the fact that they would be a Winged Wheel, a Detroit Lion, and the Luther seal in not-so-visible locations.

The person below me is anticipating something special.

I am married, and it's my second marriage at that.

The person below me suspects that many people focus more on planning their weddings than planning their marriages.

I won't go as far to say many (I think of many as a majority term), but a good percentage, yes.

TPBM is a fan of sorbet.

Not really

The person below me has something coming up that they are looking forward to

Waking up tomorrow is always good. :o Nothing really coming up except the beginning of hockey season. It's been too long since I have seen the boyz from Motown.

The person below me is real tired tonight.

Dog tired. I spent the morning after work on the phone with the stupidest woman on the planet. Then I slept for 2 hours. Then my bf came over and fixed my roof. Then I couldn't go back to sleep. Then I slept for 40 minutes. Then I got up for work. Now I am home. As soon as Johan has his run and is ready to hit the hay, so am I.

The person below me likes spicy foods.

yes, glad it's Friday. Wish I didn't have to come to work, like most of the rest of Austin. It seems people around here don't work five day weeks, so the good thing is there is no traffic on Fridays.

The person below me has a hard time with the concept of "team" in an office where 80% of the staff don't show up for work half the time.

Oh, no. That means that you have 80% of the people showing up 50% of the time, and 100% of the people showing up 50% of the time, which means that 75% of the time, you have 90% of the people present, but if each gives 110%, then you have 100% effort for 75% of the time. If you work a standard 9-5, you then have 2/3 of life spent away from the office 5/7 of the week and 100% spent away from the office 2/7 of the week. Since this leaves only 5/16 of the week spent at the office maximum but in reality, only 75% of this actually happens. So your team is really only 5/12 there. And this is assuming everyone gives 110%.

Tuh. And people want coffee breaks?

I am more familiar of the factory version of "team". In a factory setting, the concept of "team" involves shifts. Each shift thinks that they do more work than the others and that the other shifts are favoured and get by with more. The shifts are grouped into departments, none of which do related tasks, so each department feels that they are more important than the others, but are ignored in favour of the pet departments. The departments then are collectively known as workers, who feel that management are stupid tools who are out to get them. Conversely, management feels that the workers are ignorant grunts who can't do anything right.

The sad part is that everyone is correct in their assessments.

The person below me likes Papa John's, but feels guilty about not eating Little C's.

I eat Little Caesars for a number of reasons - Mike Illitch, Red Wings, it's good, and I have a friend that works at the one I go to. Although if I have a choice, I usually tend to go for Pizza Hut. I do like Papa John's, though.

The person below me prefers Pizza Hut over other pizza places.
