I don't see what the problem is in praising players when theyre hot and dogging them when theyre not - you'd get the same kind of flack at your job if you were inconsistent. As of now, it doesn't seem like anyone has much of anything negative to say about Sammy. From my perspective, hes earned a few blocked shots with the way hes playing right now. Hes not bobbling the puck too much, taking weak shots to the chest, or getting his shots blocked too often, and hes producing while hes at it.

With that said, I will continue to moan and groan if he goes back to his old ways.

Agreed. I think Sammy's been pretty good so far. There was the ill advised wrister from the blueline with no one in front of the net, but overall he's been good. And last night he and Lilja were the only ones playing with any real edge. Go figure.

Last night while watching the game, it just sort of occurred to me that I bet Sammy is very coachable. I'm not sure why. Just a gut feeling. Babs wants him to take more shots, he definitely does that. He usually makes the consistent safe play with the puck.

EDIT: as for Lids, i'm not too worried. This whole team has looked out of sync defensively, and Lidstrom is the keystone to the whole thing, so he's gonna look bad too. I thought he looked good last night. Raf was the one who had a couple bad beats.

ive switched to screaming at kopecky for now, but im sure sammy will start giving me opportunities to curse his name soon enough. seriously though, is there anyone on this team more useless than kopecky?! (ive seen the lebda thread and im willing to listen to that argument so lets leave him out.)
