Cern 0 Report post Posted November 2, 2008 Awesome GDT. Anyone gonna be at the Garage for the game? I was gonna check up on some advice in another thread on possibly getting some autographs after the morning skate. Dunno how reliable it is, though, I've been hearing conflicting places and times for meeting the players.

Cern 0 Report post Posted November 2, 2008 (edited) hey how can we meet players if you find out plz let us know! thanks! im from vancouver to but ill be at the nov 24th game According to the thread: My job has me fortunate enough to attend many Canucks practices during the year. I can tell you your best chances of getting a signature would probably outside of gate8(or 9..can't remember the number) after the morning skate. The visiting teams skate after the canucks on gamedays. The nucks are usually off around noon and the visitng teams are on the ice for about an hour after them. So I would say be there around 130pm-230pm. If you see a charter bus that is a good sign. Keep in mind that there is ALWAYS "professional" autograph collecters there. So if you see these guys you are in the right place. The players seem to respond better if you use their first names and are polite from what I have seen. The problem is that GM Place has an underground parking lot that I would imagine is restricted access, and I have a hard time believing that players wouldn't be entering and leaving the arena through there, so I don't know if the info is actually any help. I'm bunking at a friend's place literally a block away from the arena, though, so there's no reason for me to not at least check it out. Anyway, I'm thinking the Wings will have put the few days off to good use, gotten nice and angry from the SJ game and come out with a bit more gusto. Funnily enough, I've been to Wings away games here in Vancouver for the last couple of seasons and the last two seasons have given the exact same scores: 3-2 win for the first game, 4-1 loss for the second. I'm gonna stick to the pattern this time and call for a 3-2 wings win. Edited November 2, 2008 by Cern

Cern 0 Report post Posted November 2, 2008 Actually never attempted to before. My main reason for attempting this time is because a good friend of mine on the other end of the continent is dying for something autographed by Osgood, though if I can get one of my jerseys signed in the process all the better :I
