Maybe he'll do a Conklin.

Eh, even if he stands on his head, I still have a feeling the Devils will flounder. Weekes was fantastic last game...and the Devils still lost 2-0. I got a sense that the confidence wasn't there for the offense, playing in front of Weekes and it affected their already lackluster offensive corps.

Options:

Lehtonen: Is a Free agent at seasons end, probably the most expensive and least likely option.

Fernandez: Hasn't done crap but get hurt in Boston and it looks like they have pegged Thomas as the man. UFA at seasons end

Khabi: Holy salary cap savior for the Hawks, however they would probably have to eat half of his salary to get him out of town.

Rolly: IMO the most likely scenario, former starter being outplayed by a youngster. Half of the price of Khabi.

Long Shots (never happens) that are purely me having fun on NHLNumbers.com

Halak: do the Habs really need two young future goalies?

Biron/Nitty: Maybe but I highly doubt a Phi/NJ trade.

Conklin/J-Ho: Maybe Holland feels J-ho will be the real deal, maybe he thinks he will be an AHLer for ever, either way I doubt NJ wants an unproven in net, might as well let Weekes do it, Conklin stepped in very well last year for Pit, but Holland would have to be absolutely 100% sure that J-ho is going to be the man.

Raycorft: Maybe Lou doesn't read the hockey section in his paper?

I had a similar injury, and it likely happened a few saves earlier and this is when it let go.

The muscle and tendon connection gets torn or damaged due to a hard shot or violent twist and it kind of feels like a stinger for a minute or so. The next major stress is where it lets go.

Even when they cut you open and put it all back together it is really never quite the same. There is some residual tingling and numbness along with some pains - pretty much the same as tennis elbow feels.

Unless it is really bad, he should be back before Groundhog's Day - with a little extra something under the elbow boards on his chest protector.

It sucks but is a hell of a lot better than a groin, knee or achilles injury.
