Sharks/Kings to unveil third jerseys

I am so glad to follow a team where I just have to decide which player to choose for a jersey, instead of which version and have to update almost every year.

The Sharks' third jersey even has a name. It's called "BlackArmor," and they will wear it for every Thursday home game for the rest of the season as well as two road games. They will wear it a total of 14 times.

The Kings, partnered with the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising, will hold a special fashion show during the 17-minute intermission.

LA's jersey looks pretty bad judging from the crappy cell phone picture on that site...Sharks' look good. Lose the number on the front and come up with something better than "SJ" to put on the shoulders and I'd have no complaints.

I am actually impressed I LOVE the Sharks new jersey.I agree though,you gotta lose the SJ on the shoulders and those jerseys are really great.I wish the Wings would wear those old school "Detroit" jerseys once and a while.

I like the new jersey. SJ is a reference to a well known local logo of the SJSU (San Jose State) Spartans. I say keep it.

i kind of like the kings jersey. i like the black and silver at least.. i dont know about that logo. thats one jersey that actually SHOULD be black.

I've been hearing rumors that third jerseys are going to become mandatory within a season or two, so even the Wings might not be safe anymore in that regard. I'd hardly complain if they used the Winter Classic jersey sans shoulder logos as a third, though.

Maybe it's just me, and it probably is, but I just cna't help but associate "black jersey" with "goon"

If the Wings ever introduce a third jersey, it should be the classic white Detroit sweater with the red stripes. Nothing else.

Sharks' jersey looks nice, I like it. Its amazing what adding the shark's tail to the logo can do...looks so much better.

Where have you been hearing this? Forcing teams to produce another jersey. Is this the NHL's new Salary Cap Fund? I am sincerely hoping this is not true.

If the league mandates it, then the Wings should pull a page out of the Maple Leafs' book and rebel. Make a tiny, unnoticeable change - a slightly thinner stripe, say - and call it their third.

Just saw the Kings jersey. Too bad it their colors aren't brown, because that logo makes them look like UPS drivers. Brown socks would definetly tie it all in though. lol. The Sharks one isn't bad, and the Senators isn't too bad either. The Hurrcanes, Thrashers, and Lightning need to all go back to the drawing board and start over. The Blues are not so bad either imo.

I like the Sharks 3rd very very much. Black and teal/light blue is a good color mix. I've never really minded the small numbers on the front of the jersey.

Haven't seen the Kings yet.
