when was the last time ozzie stole a game for us? ummm how about NEVER!

you're saying you have confidence in ozzie? when we're up by 1,2 or even 3 goals with 5 min left in the 3rd, you have confidence in him? or do you cringe everytime the oppositions gets over our blueline? cause i know i do.. and if it's OT and their is a PK, forget about it.. guaranteed goal. he cannot stop a beachball when the pressure is on. thats what bugs the s*** out of me this year with him.. i love the guy to death but f*** how many more 3+ goal games can we take? do we really have to score 6 goals every night with him in net? guess that's why we have under 2 million goalies and all other teams 4+.

ozzie yes made some brilliant saves, no one is denying that.. but when it counts to steal us a game, it just never happens.

You're a joke dude. Yes, I have complete faith in Ozzie. The Red Wings are not defending Stanley Cup Champions right now without Ozzie.

That's all I am going to say. I am not sure you are rational enough to see any other point of view.

LMAO.. too funny man.

Why bring up what he did last year or in the playoffs? NO s*** they won.. what's happening with him THIS year is what we're talking about. I LOVE OZZIE.. but just couldnt take it anymore last night. It was your typical BS game from him, as much as you dont care to admit it... I know it kills. And we're not just talking about LAST NIGHT, it's been like that for ALL his starts this year... cannot stop anything when it counts. That's ALL I'M SAYING!

i have been on this board since day 1 .. i have never complained about ozzie, but last night (guess cause its vancouver who i cant stand) it really bugged me.

Which of the three goals would you have liked Ozzie to stop last night?

dude its not whcih of the 3.. or that he had "no chance" on any.. its the fact that he is not clutch.. when its 2-1 with 2 min left, he needs to stand on his head.. no matter how bad the team plays in front of him i.e. clearing pucks, pk. do you understand what i'm saying? he does NOT do this.. EVER. he is not that type of goalie.. there is no confidence in him when we are up this year.

You must have missed the New Jersey game.

So not clutch. I can't believe he let that shot it.

Oh wait...

I don't really mind us losing, at least in OT and a man down. I miss the days when refs would try and back away from calling marginal penalties in the later stages of the game and just let the players play. One of my friends love to harp on my when the Wings lose...then I remind him that he cheers for Toronto...and any team that happens to be playing the Wings lol.

So you admit that the he didn't have a chance on the goals, but then in the next breath say he should have stopped them? Which is it?

no matter how bad the team plays in front of him i.e. clearing pucks, pk.

"The goalie should saddle the blame for poor team play." Really?

do you understand what i'm saying? he does NOT do this.. EVER. he is not that type of goalie.. there is no confidence in him when we are up this year.

Ever, you say? You can't think of any time in the two Stanley Cup runs when he made clutch saves and bailed the team out?

I realize that Oz has had a bit of hard luck this year and that he hasn't been a show-stopper of late, but these kind of generalizations are over-the-top; what's more any blame associated with this particular loss is misplaced.

Ozzie was indeed great last night. If it were not for a bad giveaway by Huds, we would've had an extra point.

I was at the game last night and when it comes right down to it we were just sloppy. Way too many give a ways at the blue lines at both ends. The Canucks dumbed the game down pretty good by not fore checking for most of the game and just sitting back. I love our puck control style but its games like that last night where we have to dump the puck in more if they are going to clog it up. Its games like last night where Homer and Cleary would have been key for us to dump it in and get in the corners on the forecheck. I find it pretty crazy that we can play that sloppy, outshoot a team by double and still should've won the game.

Wing's best player:Ozzie and Hossa (not even close last night, this guys is as strong as hell and so alert at both ends of the ice)

Wings worst player : Rafalski - I dont know what it looked like on tv but live this guy made a bunch of really questionable decisions and bad passes. I like Raf but he almost looks too comfortable sometimes playing with Lids.

Anyways..tough loss, but I will say one thing...getting these single points could be huge at the end of the year if the Conference or Presidents trophy race are tight. !!

Do people realize that Wings only have 2 regulation losses? Sometimes teams get lucky and win one or two against wings...

Did anyone notice that Canucks were celebrating the ot win as if they won the cup lol... oh well:)

We were written off by every analyst last summer as destined to be Division basement dwellers, we have just lost our franchise player to injury and are without one of our best offensive d-men (Bieksa). Shame on them for celebrating a win against the defending Stanley Cup Champs and leading the Division.

I'm not here to ozzie bash or anything...but in face of reality..ozzie never even touched that shot and it went right through him. It just happened to not go into the net (thankfully).

Just saying.

Ozzie did get a little piece of that puck to push it behind the net making it an impossible angle for Hossa.

But the main thing there was the original backhand shot. Not an easy save by any means. With less than 3 seconds to go in game 6 of the SCF, Ozzie came up with a huge save. You can not get much more clutch than that.
