Systemfel 33 Report post Posted December 11, 2008 Pens fans are pathetic. They've got way too much hatred towards the Wings.
CdnWingsFanEh 2 Report post Posted December 12, 2008 Exactly. Raflaski's a great player, but he's made a lot of defensive errors this season. The scary thing is that I think he's been more of a defensive liability than Lilja this season. The fact that he has been so good offensively has covered this up/made up for it a bit. He needs to pick up his defensive play a bit. I love Ozzie, but I gotta say he really doesn't belong in the ASG, based on his play this season. Hopefully he picks it up a bit, too... I did know that Rafalski was the Wings defense scoring leader because I watched the game last night. I don't think I'm alone here in saying the stats don't tell the entire story. I'm just saying that based on their play right now, neither he nor Osgood belong in the ASG.
SouthernWingsFan 854 Report post Posted December 12, 2008 Pens fans are pathetic. They've got way too much hatred towards the Wings. I can say the exact same thing about Wings fans hating the Penguins. It's probably directed less towards the Penguins team and more towards a select few from their organization, but people here take the hatred of those few way off the deep end as well. You have the advantage of being in the South, an area where people generally don't give a s*** about hockey in general, let alone be subject to the near-endless bombardment of those 'select few' in every form of media imaginable. Come up north for a few years, it'll cause a few mental short circuits in you.
South Dakota wings fan 7 Report post Posted December 12, 2008 I would rather wings players rest up than go play in a bull s*** game . I tend to agree with you on this one. Send the Mule and Kronwall since he has never been there before, but let the rest of them stay home and rest. I am sure the last thing Lidstrom needs is another ASG. Come up north for a few years, it'll cause a few mental short circuits in you. I get the same thing more or less with college football rivalries down here almost every year. This year LSU football fans just obnoxiously over-obsessed with Alabama coach Nick Saban (coached at Michigan State then to LSU than to the NFL then to Alabama). Alabama is a rival per se to LSU but it's a joke how LSU fans think he is a traitor for going to Alabama when he did it from the NFL, not straight from going to a rival school. Anyways, well off topic already with that, my point is I get my fair share of sports annoyances also but I rarely let the extra fluff attention like that get to me. Waste of time getting heartburn over it. You learn to tune that stuff out and just watch the games.
#19forPresident! 1 Report post Posted December 12, 2008 As a fan I don't care about having our guys' names in the all star game, but if my vote would help get their names on the Stanley Cup again I would actually bother doing it.....Oh wait one of these things actually stands for something and the other is based on totally irrelevant opinions.
