I don't have a short memory. I remember that vividly. But who do you want with the game on the line? The million dollar guy or the 8 million dollar guy? I mean, you pay the guy for a reason.

Money is a very poor indicator of who to pick in a shootout, or how they will perform. It wasn't long ago that Tomas Holmstrom was the only one to come through in a shootout after 7 or 8 rounds. Of late, Hudler has been the better player than Hossa. Confidence alone can do wonder for the shootout.

This just goes back to the subconscious inferiority complex we all have of Hudler. Datsyuk and Zetterberg didn't do squat in the shootout either.

Surprised at Hudler over Hossa. I mean, Hudler's having a strong season, but you want the ridiculously talented guys in the shootout, right? Oh well, we got a point we probably didnt deserve, even if we carried the play for the second half of the game.

What?

Hossa's record in the shootouts isn't overly good whereas Hudler is normally a lock. It was the correct decision.

Hudler over ******* hossa?

seriously?

What is your problem, seriously?

I would much prefer Hudler over Hossa in the shootouts. Considering how little Babcock thinks of Hudler, it says a lot that he would rather him over Hossa in the shootout.

God. Perhaps now I am not so livid that the *******, er, boyfriend LOST OUR STUBS after the 1st period, lasting in a fight the entire rest of the game since we couldn't get back it. Well, that was a waste of $350.

The Wings have let the Avs win twice? Where's the arsenic?

Credit to the Wings for getting a point after being down 3-0, on the back half of back-to-back nights, and without Lidstrom

Yes Have to give them credit after blowing in the first. Couldn't understand no Hossa in the SO either, but gotta give Babs his due. Wings are ok a lull - this Avs team is VERY beatable...

Ps. Wings fans were great - way 2 support your team!

er, what are you talking about? noone ever checks our stubs again once we are in the game. We even had club level and I never showed mine. As long as noone is challenging you for your seats - you should be fine. Will call should be able to replace them anyhow, if really lost... never heard of that..

Anyhow, good game in the end - Wings came up short against a team they very well should beat...such is the norm. I bet they play better vs. Chicago....

Hudler has been by far the most clutch Wing in shootouts. I would pick him over Dats, Z, or Hossa for the SO based on track record this season.

Coming in to this shootout, Dastyuk was 3/4 and Hudler 1/2
