MissyLKS8 6 Report post Posted December 28, 2008 This is pretty random and I probably should check better into this before posting... but is it just me, or have was lost the games to the teams we played in the post season last year? Predators, Avs, Stars, and Penguins...? Is this a karma thing? Cause I thought we did fine in that department. Hopefully not a curse.
Echolalia 2,961 Report post Posted December 28, 2008 Its not a karma thing. We're losing to every team we don't show up to play. Whether it be the Predators, the Penguins, the Bruins, or the Leafs. The Wings don't give it 100% for 60 minutes, they're losing, because the other team sure as hell is going to be giving it their all when they come to play the Stanley Cup champs. Guest Shoreline Report post Posted December 28, 2008 They're just lowering their opponent's (and fan's) expectations for the great postseason surprise.

It's like we cream the Sharks who are at the top, but I find it odd how we are against those we are known to have beaten. Come on Wings, you're better then that! Come on Wings, you're better then that! Heh, watching the Wings over the years, that is simply what they are prone to. When you win so much sometimes you take the foot off the gas, forgetting that the opponent sees you as someone above them on the ladder to climb over. Karma in the sense that teams really want to beat us after we beat them last year and won the cup? Yes. That's just cause and effect. Wings need to refuel in the motivation department. SouthernWingsFan 854 Report post Posted December 28, 2008 You are going to lose games in an 80+ game regular season. You are going to sometimes lose to teams you expect to normally beat, you are going to sometimes beat teams where you think on paper you have no chance. There's no karma, correlations, or anything like that. Losses happen sometimes.

Never_Retire_Steve 35 Report post Posted December 28, 2008 We like to give these teams leads and then try and come back in the third. It's really starting to piss me off how many times we are entering the third period down a couple lately.
