FireCaptain 563 Report post Posted February 12, 2009 4 - 2 Wild.. Or Ozzy took his mini-benching to heart and it goes 4 - 1 Wings.. Who knows, it's all speculation anyway. GO WINGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wingsallwin 0 Report post Posted February 12, 2009 hopefully I am wrong but as Osgood starts the game, I am feeling little bit scary. Our offenses have to be really good this game. If Osgood plays good, we will take it easy but I don't expect that happen so our offenses have to be terrific or our defenses have to supreme. Wings take this game 4-3 over the Wild. Casey 145 Report post Posted February 12, 2009 Oz lets in a softie then gets pissed at himself and goes lights-out the rest of the way. 4-1 Wings.
bonan78 1 Report post Posted February 12, 2009 4-2 Wings Hudler (PP), Lilja, Filppula (SH), Zetterberg (EN) Ozzie lets in a soft goal, wakes up, then stands on his head the rest of the game, down 3-1 late, Minnesota pulls the goalie and pulls it within 1, but Z seals the deal. Just getting warmed up for Sunday's match-up, looking to exact some vengeance on the artists formerly called Nordiques.

AtomicPunk 296 Report post Posted February 12, 2009 I predict the Wild put the Wings to sleep but they manage to hang on for a 2-1 win. Goals: Datsyuk and Lidstrom on a Power Play. Wild Goal: Koivu

TheUkrainian 49 Report post Posted February 12, 2009 Wings win by 3. I might be going to the game. Does anyone know where to purchase the student discount tickets, and where the seating is usualy located? If it's crappy, I guess I can move down a few rows, since I don't think it will be full. Guest mindfly Report post Posted February 12, 2009 (edited) Wild are so boring always low scoring games, and bäckström in net is very good... wings gotta play really good to win this.. probably 1goal or in OT/SO.. at best Edited February 12, 2009 by mindfly
Holmstrom96 347 Report post Posted February 12, 2009 Well if the Red Wings can score 6 goals or more they might be able to win with Osgood in the net. Osgood just plain sucks. Osgood is the worst goalie in the league, and that's not an opinion, that's a fact if you base it off of save percentage. Osgood has one of the highest GAA as well and has failed to goose-egg a team yet this year. I hope Babcock benches Osgood for the rest of the year and the playoffs. Don't get me wrong, I am very greatful for the Stanley Cups that Osgood has brought us, I love the guy and everything, but his performance and statistics can't be ignored. On another note, FSN-HD, WOOHOO! That is simply the best! Nothing is better than a home game with Ken and Mickey in crystal clear HD.
Guest mindfly Report post Posted February 12, 2009 I haven't given up on Osgood just yet... I know his play suits better in the playoffs, and he must get some kind of confidence so he must play some games, but he's been brutal so far, but i still think he can shock everyone on this board

Glad to see a little optimism on your part. Several of us from the LGW are meeting at Cheli's Chili in Clinton Twp. to watch this one. Never been to this Cheli's, but from what I understand, they have a Joe-like scoreboard hanging down with lights and a horn that go off when the Wings score. Anyone in the area is welcome to stop by! edit: to stay on topic....Wings win 4 - 0. Oz stuns all with a golden performance. I will admit though, he's made some very amazing saves and has started looking better lately, but he still needs to improve and be more consistent.
